I've seen some good suggestions here already, but just figured I'd say that I'm the same kind of deck builder. I like doing the unusual, even if the commander might actually not be underused.

A few ideas (basically, these are ideas I haven't gotten around to, but want to):

• Gilanra, Caller of Wirewood / Silas Renn, Seeker Adept big artifact cascade (Ingenuity Engine, Imoti, Celebrant of Bounty).

• Archelos, Lagoon Mystic Skeleton Tribal with Skeletal Swarming.

• Ich-Tekik, Salvage Splicer / Krark, the Thumbless Gruul magecraft deck with Zada, Hedron Grinder.

• Old Gnawbone Energy deck with Aetherworks Marvel, Gonti's Aether Heart, and Karn, the Great Creator.

• Some random deck to run a combo with Blood Funnel and Healing Technique.

• Ravos, Soultender / Esior, Wardwing Familiar Bird Tribal with Soulcatchers' Aerie.

If any of these ideas seem fun, feel free to use them or ask me for further explanations.

Geode Golem lets you cast Karn for free when it deals combat damage, which is fairly easy because it has trample. Ingenuity Engine lets you cascade and can be a 7/7 with Karn out.

To be fair, I'd usually only sacrifice tokens to Arcum Dagsson . The payoff wouldn't necessarily be death triggers but more of a "sac a token and find whatever CMC I need protection from at the time" type thing. That's why I think the tutor effect would be more useful than the from the hand effect. You make some valid points on Master Transmuter , though. I'll order one and do some playtesting and see which one works out better.

Agreed that Thopter Foundry needs replacing. It was only in here to be a 6 CMC artifact and I happened to have one lying around. Steel Hellkite will probably take it's spot. Wurmcoil Engine would likely replace Ingenuity Engine .
