Two Headed Giant
BLund, 13 years ago
Brought this to a 2hg, sided out 2 Mirran Crusader for a Sword of Feast and Famine and Sword of War and Peace since my partner played mono white aggro (Mirran Crusader+Angelic Destiny). Went 2-1. Good stuff. Lost to a deck made SPECIFICALLY for support in 2hg, it was funny to be honest.

Removed the fastbonds, they will be bought with the blue counters for some mods when i want to play this deck a different way, added in natural order, emrakul, progenitus, and genesis. As i play tested the deck more and more i never got a good enough usage out of fastbond to warrant it's placement. Subbing in natural order to summon creatures(albeit expensive ones) on command, seems to go with how the deck was playing. On play test Progenitus dropped on t3, ending the game on t5, with my life at 47, with 19 life. Deck strategies: Life/Mana Ramp + Selective card draw into Blightsteel, Emrakul, or Progenitus based on what is needed at that time. OR Life/Mana Ramp + Elf swarm.
4th Place FNM

So I am on the other side of the country visiting family for the holidays and I decide to play an FNM at a store I have never played at. I walk into a 24 person tournament. I played this deck and did not lose a match. 4th place.
2-0 Liquimetal Coating G/R. Easy two games. The guy said he spent $5 on his deck. And he played that $5 deck very casually.
2-0 U/W spirits. The kid seemed fairly inexperienced. I phished for his counter spells (of which there were many) with off-playus and stuff I didn't need to play. Once I saw 3 or 4 counter spells in the graveyard I started pushing more important stuff through. Easy two games.
0-1-1 B/U Tezzeret artifact. Tough game. Drew on game 2 with a perpetual Stonehorn Dignitary and Venser, the Sojourner combo. Tough break. No loss for me!
2-1 Tempered steel! WOW! I couldn't believe it. Typically a terrible match up. I got lucky in the two games I won with Day of Judgment. The deck just worked beautifully. I kept his board in check untill he was topdecking lands.
1-1-1 WRR. Draw. I was really nervous for this match up. I know that WRR is obviously a strong deck (I played it for a while). Generally for this Bant set up, a game vs WRR is a flat out race. And, well, WRR is faster. I lost the first game. I stalled the second with Stonehorn Dignitary over and over again, cracked Venser's ultimate, exiled a bunch of stuff, played big creatures and made the all unblockable FTW. Game 3 was at turns and we drew.

Put in 3 Abundance instead of the 3 Viridian Revel. Switched 1 Dawnstrider for a 4th Llanowar Elves.
Goals
loipoikoi, 13 years ago
The goal of this deck is to gain life, mill my opponent, and to harass my opponent with a large army and tokens. I added some spells and like Safe Passage of Paraselene to help keep me and my army safe throughout the game by destroying enchantments and preventing damage. But I want this deck to also have some survivability, so I put in a Quest for Ancient Secrets and Valor Made real so I can get my graveyard back and I can block multiple targets with weak tokens or strong monsters.

As I've been getting more Liliana's Caress I've been phasing out the Megrims, they are usually a little to pricey for the curve.

Added Lashwrithe and relegated Consume Spirit to the sideboard because I think he'll be a more reliable aggressor. I also love the life gain potential with Vault Skirge.
Less equipment update

Update 1: I have made the deck more based on Archangel and made the deck based more on artifact creatures, since while Archangel remains on the battle field, creatures usually can be equipped. Thanks for all the comments so far
Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon
terminaldragon, 13 years ago
I decided to add Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon because I realised that I was quite often dealing poison damage with my Blighted Agents and I decided that I needed something to replace a Scrapdiver Serpent.

this deck does need some mulliganing to get the right colors. you want to drop animar ASAP and then just start dropping creatures so they get cheaper and cheaper until you're dropping free eldrazi on turn 5 or 6 ideally.

v1.1

Overhauled the entire Kill Suite, now 1x Dismember, 2x Black Sun's Zenith 4x Doom Blade, 4x Tribute to Hunger and 1x Liliana of the Veil. Draw engine lost Bloodgift Demon. Added two another Island and Nephalia Drownyard to manabase. Wincons are now: Nephalia Drownyard and Grave Titan. What it needs help with now: Looking to pitch the final Liliana, but not sure what for. Also I want to get the Sphinxes out of here because they are nothing more than a fat target that only net me two cards at most. General help with the sideboard and maindeck is always more than appreciated. See the first paragraph for a description of what the deck needs to fight.

Removed: Grand Architect, Steel Hellkite x1 Added: Kuldotha ForgeMaster x2 Reasoning: Initial idea came from Z3N. Honestly I had never looked at / thought about it. I've been playing a similar build for a couple weeks now without it. Why not give it a try.

3-1 Lost horribly first round to a blue white geist control. Otherwise it was very fun to play.
