It seems the symbol was created purely to see what kind of madcap infinite combos could be created. Umbral Mantle is perhaps the easiest example, requiring nothing more that a creature that can tap for three mana. But how common could that be?

Well, even if you narrow your search to just elves, it turns out there's a lot of 'em. This deck runs no fewer than eighteen, all of whom can do the tappy-untappy shuffle to get infinite power and toughness. Add Trample and stir!
