So it looks like there will be 2 Chandra cards, 2 Nissa cards, a Tezzeret, and Saheeli Rai in Kaladesh. Any idea why the multiples? And how excited are you guys for this set?

The planeswalker decks replacing intro packs account for the 2 nissas and chandras

I was doing research online and there are 2 variations of each 'walker Chandra, pyrogenius and torch of defiance. Nissa, vital force and natures artisan. look it up.

Planeswalker decks are a flavorful, standard-legal Intro pack for newer players and collectors. The walkers are not intended to be top-tier standard playable, but they will be standard legal and they won't be in the actual set/draft environment.

We don't know if Tezzeret will be in this set or Aether Revolt.
My belief he is going to be in Revolt

Yeah, definitely feels like Dovin Baan will be the fourth planeswalker judging by the Kaladesh pack art

Thus far, Chandra and Saheeli are confirmed for planeswalkers in this block, and I believe that it is a safe presumption that both Tezzeret and Dovin Baan shall be in the block, as well, but that would mean that there would be three blue planeswalkers in the block (since Baan is almost certainly blue), so WotC would need to ensure that the other colors are well-represented, as well; Chandra and Saheeli are both red, but there is no news of any white, black, or green planeswalkers, yet.

Regarding a white walker, there's been some speculation on the Spoiler thread that Tezzeret might be Esper coloured, or that Dovin would be .

After rotation, here's the color breakdown for Planeswalkers so far:
Chandra, Pyrogenious
Nissa, Nature's Artisan
As you can see, and seem to be lacking the most.

Atony1400, that is very unfortunate, as those are my two favorite colors in this game.
How many blocks are in standard at once, in this new rotation format? The most recent two, or the most recent three?

The 3 most recent blocks is the new standard.
Starting in the fall, standard is BFZ block, SOI block and Kaladesh block

DemonDragonJ, 3 blocks, 5-6 sets at a time. As you can see, I didn't count Dragons and Origins above....

Atony1400, in my mind, that is too many planeswalkers in standard at one time, but, since I rarely participate in standard events, I do not care very much about such an issue.

DemonDragonJ, I can agree, but it beats out having 1 planeswalker per set. cough, Ugin, cough

I added up the planeswalker colours distribution for the Kaladesh standard. When you consider the cards outside of just this block, it leads me to think that there will not be a 6th 'walker in Kaladesh block and Tezzeret will remain U/B. Then the balance would bring all colours to 3 or 3.5 which is a very balanced standard even if Kaladesh has a bit of white deficiency.

Where are you getting 2 chandra and 2 nissa from?
