Maybeboard

This white, artifact-aggro deck was designed to be borderline casual / intro-to-competitive while aiming to be low-budget.

I've tried picking cards that synergize with the following themes: evasion (flying / unblockable) and +1/+1 counters.

Creatures like Healer's Hawk, Gingerbrute, Flutterfox, and Grateful Apparition all manage to possess some form of evasion, with cards like Flutterfox gaining evasion when cards like Gingerbrute or All That Glitters are on the battlefield. Since most of the creatures in this deck are white, I chose Heraldic Banner to increase their power while providing adequate mana acceleration, and artifact synergy for Flutterfox. Further evasion can be obtained through cards like Gods Willing and Manifold Key in the sideboard.

Creatures like Grateful Apparition, Sunhome Stalwart, and Venerated Loxodon can place +1/+1 counters on other creatures to strengthen your board presence. Cards like Unbreakable Formation, Karn's Bastion, and Idyllic Grange also provide this functionality, with Unbreakable Formation allowing for safe attacks that force opponents to make difficult choices on what to block.

There are 22 lands in the deck because the average converted mana cost (CMC) of the spells is effectively three (since Venerated Loxodon can use your creatures to cast it instead of your lands). Castle Ardenvale provides another way to generate creatures in case you draw too many lands.

Obviously, a huge deficit of this deck is its card draw. I could not find any effective budget cards to fill this role, but colors like red and blue can be good additions to the deck to achieve this goal.

Moving to the Side-Board, Giant Killer is there for dealing with any beefy creature decks. Gods Willing can be used to either protect your creatures, or to get past your opponent's creatures. The scry also helps in a deck lacking card draw. Glass Casket and Conclave Tribunal provide effective ways to remove annoying permanents on the opponent's field. Manifold Key is another way to make your creatures unblockable, while allowing cards like Gingerbrute to untap and sacrifice themselves should the need arise. Lastly, Ugin, the Ineffable is an amazing card that allows for indirect card draw and faster casting of all our colorless artifact spells. I only have one in the sideboard because I am aiming for a budget deck, and Ugin is a bit expensive.

And last but certainly not least is the Maybe-Board. It is filled with expensive and inexpensive alternatives to this deck, with cards like Faerie Guidemother providing both evasion for other creatures and she herself having evasion.

In essence, the ultimate goal of the deck is dealing enough combat damage to your opponent to eliminate them as quickly as possible.

If anyone has any suggestions, comment down below! I find this casual / into-to-competitive type of deck to be very fun in comparison to the state of standard at the moment, so sharing it will all of you will hopefully get others playing other fun decks that are also cheap and synergize well.

Enjoy playing everyone!
