Artifact ramp: Massive cheap artifacts for improvise fun. The goal is to bring our the Barricade Breakers as quickly as possible. Even so, this is not a fast deck, per se.
I only have 3 Barricade Breakers in the deck because that's all I own at the moment. I feel like I ought to bump that to 4, but I'm unsure what to cut elsewhere.
We begin by playing Ornithopters for defense and free mana rocks (for the cards with improvise). Servo Schematics cost us one mana, but give us two mana rocks, one on a stick. Prophetic Prism is also a cheap rock that helps offset the hand depletion from playing Ornithopters. It also helps power the color splashes in the sideboard.
Then, we start playing Chief of the Foundry, Foundry Assembler, and Barricade Breaker ASAP. We finish with Padeem and Mechanized Production (which we can play on ideally Foundry Assembler to buff our creatures, but it works great on Barricade Breaker and Servo Schematic (for additional ramp) as well).
In the meantime we have Metallic Rebuke (which should be super cheap to cast) and Disallow for permission. However, casting these slows the deck down.
Most sideboard selections will sub in for Ornithopter. Aether Hub + Prophetic Prism lets us splash colors in the sideboard. Fatal Push for facing aggro red / white weenie. Welding Sparks for taking on stompy green. Refurbish for control decks that take out our artifacts. Pacification Array for additional control if needed, but I feel this is a super weak addition that only exists to fill out the 15 cards.
