Welcome to my multi angled, varied SUPER budget deck. I focused on Naya colours () since that is what I’m most comfortable with. What I like about this deck is the number of things it can do and all the features.
Card Choices
Commune with Dinosaurs
is a must have in any Dino deck. It simply increases consistency by fixing your mana or getting that key card, possibly Marauding Raptor. In some cases you may want to hold off playing Turn 1 or 2 if you’ve got lands+plays in hand. Just for more information if it’s used later.
Otepec Huntmaster
is a cornerstone for me, sometimes overlooked in other lists. I see him as a must answer threat for the opponent, it can catch people off guard. Especially when you slam down one of your Dino’s on Turn 3, granting it haste and attacking. I have him in place of
Drover of the Mighty
due to it being a static reduction of cost for all Dinosaurs. Often times this allows for two to be played in a turn instead of one.
There is life gain via
Imperial Ceratops
and
Deathgorge Scavenger
, who also doubles as graveyard hate if needed.
Then for Artifact and Enchantment removal, the awesome
Thrashing Brontodon
which is one of my favourite cards of all time. You’ve got your answer attached to a good 3/4 beater often for just . Great versatility there!
For (often) one sided board wipes is my favourite spell
Solar Blaze
. At first glance it sucks but in this deck most of the creatures are bottom heavy, meaning they will survive this spell. It also damages the ENRAGE Dino’s for those triggers as well.
Then there is card draw and more life gain via the great
Momentous Fall
. It’s simply a good card.
For a finisher there is
Overwhelming Stampede
, these last two cards (and
Farseek
)being reprinted in Commander 2019 really helped bring their price down.
