In 2011, Brian David-Marshal wrote about a new format emerging: Modern. One of the decks he wrote about was a Red Affinity deck that had Atog in it. Now, I'm bringing that deck back, in a new, super budget friendly way.

While it plays like a regular Affinity deck, it can also burn players out, and win at instant speed, thanks to 4 main deck Flings. This ability to win whenever makes up for some of Affinity's usual shortcomings.

The sideboard can be geared for multiple match ups. There is Affinity hate, a faster beat down strategy, an option to go with a more traditional affinity, and even a burn option.

So far, this deck has tested very well. I have roughly an 80% win rate in the Modern Tournament practice room (15+ matches played), a 100% win rate in the 2-mans (though only 2 games played), and made finals in the only 8-man I have ever played (winning against Splinter Twin, Grixis Control, and barely losing to Storm).

This deck is very viable right now, and very cheap. It's fun to play, and worth checking out.
