Simic Midrange *Help Please*

Standard GU (Simic) Midrange

SuperMerg

Sideboard

In the true spirit of "Midrange", this deck attempts to be a jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none. The goal here is to have flexibility in curve and effects to be able to adopt a strong aggressive posture against control decks, but also stall-out effectively against aggro, until later game mana & card quality advantage win the war of attrition.

Elvish Mystic synergizes with Boon Satyr, Courser, and morphs.

Rattleclaw Mystic fixes even if you only have islands, bursts ramp when unmorphing, and aggressive enough to set a control player on their heels.

Den Protector is a slightly evasive 2/1 for two, aggressive enough to wear control player down early. Late game it gives you a more evasive 3/2 ANDROID that threat they wished would stay dead. Synergy with Deathmist Raptor and Whisperwood.

Stratus Dancer is a counterspell that can protect your early aggro drops from removal while itself attacking. Or if you need it, it just comes down turn 2 as a 2/1 evasive threat. Also, makes any facedown card that much more threatening.

Deathmist Raptor just won't quit. Great at all stages of the game, and has the ability to be present in all of them.

Courser of Kruphix guarantees land drops, gains life, and slows the game down. Great turn 2 play after Elvish Mystic. Excellent synergy with Kiora and Prognostic. Loses manifest surprise with Whisperwood, but still improves chances of manifest actually being a creature.

Kiora, the Crashing Wave explores, bubbles single threats, and comes out FAST with ramp. Can almost act as threat protection, because the opponent HAS to deal with her before she goes off.

Prognostic Sphinx resilient evasive threat that solidifies card-quality and synergizes with Courser, Kiora, and Whisperwood.

Whisperwood Elemental generates its own horde of manifest monsters that give you plenty to spend any excess mana on. Also has some built in sweeper resistance.

Reclamation Sage fights Whip, Mastery, Coursers, Ascendancies, and anthems.

Hornet Nest lowers overall cmc curve and a strong answer to mono-red / X midrange.

Arbor Colossus stops Rocs, Rhinos, Butchers, and Dragons.

Silumgar Sorcerer lower curve evasive threat that plays the multi-modal game against creature heavy decks.

Played this version against an esper control deck, and was definitely fast enough.

Now I just need to find some current-meta aggro decks to put me in my place.
