FNM report. Okay so yeah.

Round 1: U/W Artificer?

Something similar to this.

Game one went something like me Strangleroot gesiting his face in with Rancors and fun goodies. Game two, I was ahead until he started trading post for life, and then mimic vatted a wurmcoil engine, ontop of phryexian metamorphing my two wolfir silverhearts and bonding them with Consecrated Sphinxes. I scooped. Game three. So I needed to win this, and this person is also notorious for slow playing. I had 2 strangle root geists, a wolfir avenger, and kessig wolfrun for 3 on the field. He held off, and then I won on the fifth turn(Which is the last after times up in the round)

Round 2: B/R tribal vamps.

First off let me say this person didn’t have any Vampire Nighthawks.

Game one, he got an early stromkirk noble and i didn’t have an answer until turn 3 strangleroot geist. He then got Olivia out and killed me with blood artist. Game two. Turn 2 sword of war and peace, turn three eleven damage with birds. I rest my case there. Game three. I had a bird with war and peace and feast and famine on it, enough mana to move it from his blockers and win.

Round 3: Red Deck wins(With huntmaster)

Game one: He made a mistake and grim lavamancered my llanowar elf so i played damage creatres(huntmaster/avenger) won easily. Game two: This was just a beat fest. Swords. Rancors. Fun.

Round 4: White weenie.

I’m not even going to describe this. Porcelain legionaire, honor of the pure, and thalia destroy r/g aggro when i can’t miracle a bonfire.

My advice is get rid of the Titans. Sure they are good, but in an aggro deck they are a bit too much. My advice is replace the Inferno Titan s with 2 more card:Green Sun's Zenith and the Primeval Titan and Vexing Devil s with 2 more Llanowar Elves and 2 more Huntmaster of the Fells  Flip . Other than that, +1 from me

I do agree with the titans, they are a tad slow, 3 elves is plenty however, the land count might need to go up to 22. I think the devils are an interesting addition and I am curious to see how they do. As well, 3-4 green suns would allow some more consistency to the deck. Also see about adding in another Bonfire of the Damned and Arc Trail might do you better over Incinerate . I also recommend looking into Zealous Conscripts and Phyrexian Metamorph , very useful in the deck.

Trust me when I say that you can never have too many elves and that the red mana is too inconsistent for the Devils, I did try. I personally am running 3 Bonfire of the Damned s and it is amazing, if you can get another one, definitely do it. Zealous Conscripts is a really good card, but only in the sideboard, and Phyrexian Metamorph is one of those cards that comes down to personal preference from my experience. As for the Incinerates, I personally prefer a combination of 1 card:Red Sun's Zenith and 1 Pillar of Flame with an extra Bonfire. I just find that that the Incinerates aren't as good as those three, no need for the anti-regeneration form my experiences. Iunno, this is just what I've been finding from my Gr Aggro deck.

I can vouch for too many elves, I had to drop to 2 and go down to 22 land in my jund aggro, I drew way too many mana and mana guys with the deck, cost me a feature match and 150 at a super IQ lol.

I'm running a total of 8 mana dorks in my deck:gr-aggro-97, 4 Llanowar Elves and 4 Birds of Paradise . I have found no problem with it, hell if anything it has helped. I've been able to get out turn 2 Strangleroot Geist and then play and equip one of my swords onto it on turn 3, along with many other nice early plays that I wouldn't have been able to do without the Elves and Birds. You NEED them in a deck like this, that is why all of the top 8 variants of this have them.

June 23, 2012 11:22 p.m.

I guess it is a matter of personal preference. I just got sick of drawing land and mana dudes in place of what I actually needed to get in there. I had too many games where I had an opening hand of 2 mana guys 4 lands and some other spell, and saw only mana and dudes for days. Though I do vehemently believe 3 elves and 4 birds will consistently get you the turn 1 mana guy 99% of the time. I did that in my old beats list and got it every time.

So the general consensus here is to drop the titans, add two more llanowars, (I'm currently trying to get the 2 Huntmaster of the Fells  Flip extra) and add one more land?

If you need Huntmasters, you can buy them pretty cheap form one of the places on tcgplayer. 22 land is a pretty good idea too.

gbspot I've actually spent very little on the deck, most of it is cards me or my friends have owned and traded for. :p

XD the whole idea of judging a deck absed on its price is absurd. You could have a $1000 deck that lacks synergy, or that just loses all of the time because it can't deal with basic things, or on the opposite end of the spectrum, a cheap deck that wins all the time, like my old Red Deck WIns used to do before I went to Green Red Aggro because I was bored. Don't judge a deck based on the price that Tapped out spits out.

Kerrosive56 also the price on here isn't even very accurate

the swords are really really pricey for me that's why i said its good. cmon, guys.. i know this pricing is not accurate.. but i know how much these cards cost.. :)

i know you can find those "pricey" swords on booster packs but well, i have a very bad luck on boosters that's why i only buy/trade with other players.

i have a friend that traded his RDW deck just for one Sword of War and Peace . that's why i said its pricey. i know RDWs are very cheap but still its a whole deck just for one card. well its just worth the price.. swords are really awsome though.

Go Sword of Body and Mind then. That;s what I did. Still gives you a huge advantage. and gives you a sword. Plus it's good agianst a lot of things in the current meta.

July 2, 2012 6:43 a.m.

yeah, but War and Peace is only like 25 in the upper end now

July 2, 2012 11:17 a.m.

Kerrosive56 says... #19

That's cute, cos it;s not, it's $50 in the upper end

July 2, 2012 11:30 a.m.

No, it dropped 2 weeks ago to 23-27, Feast and Famine went to around 20, check star city.

Kerrosive56 They've dropped. you're lucky to get 30-40 for it, I traded a Foil Griselbrand for it though, so I"m rather content with that.

Be smart, check tcgplayer.com before you going saying this stuff. The higher prices are still $50. The sell for between $25- $70 ($69.95 is the highest right now). Trust me, I know, I've been watching them like a hawk. They are too good, and used in too many top 8 decks to be any cheaper than that too.

Regardless, the highest I have seen them trade/sell for in the last 2 weeks is 30. I picked up my 3rd for 25, everyone I know goes by star city games prices, which have it 28 in mint condition, 27 with light play, which is a slight raise compared to when it dropped from 45-50 down to 25 about 2 weeks ago.

drop Sword of Feast and Famine , causes rancor to fall off, and if you drop Hellrider then your deck will be fully greensunable, plus, one of the worst things for your opponent to steal from you, with image or what not, is Hellrider .

I run RG Aggro, G/R Aggro m13, suggestions? so you can look at it for possible comparisons?
