This deck started out as a modification of the Amonkhet Liliana, Death Wielder starter set. The point of this deck is, essentially, to use Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons ability to create 1/1 deathtouch snakes, and to use Nest of Scarabs ability to create 1/1 black insects. The snakes and insects make a nice wall, and, when Bontu is out on the field, I can use his ability, at the cost of 2 mana, to sacrifice a token (thus dealing 1 damage to each opponent, and gaining 1 life). This will also allow him to attack or defend that turn.
