Hey liquidjaguar....it was actually meant as a cantrip that was meant more for defense. In all honesty, it was 75% there to get rid of Spellskite (as we think it is going to be in a ton of mainboards now and Emerge Unscathed only gives protection from a color...). Every once and a while I would cycle it and target Monastery Swiftspear but that was the extent of offensive uses we'd get out of it. There are a few other fringe uses...it is one of those cards that kinda goes in and out of the deck as the meta moves different ways (as many cantrips can with unique uses)...great point though about Kiln Fiend!

I do think Twisted Image is playable, though: Birds of Paradise, Noble Hierarch, Spellskite, and with Junk builds running around Doran, the Siege Tower is getting some play. Izzet Staticaster, Kor Spiritdancer, Ornithopter, Signal Pest, Steppe Lynx, walls... it's probably a sideboard card more than anything. Yes there will be maindeck Spellskites, but only in a few decks, and most of them will probably be in the board.

That's why we've ways liked it against spellskite. It can be interesting with combat tricks too every once and a while; but spellskite is its best use.

Thanks TheDoccyness!! I really appreciate it. You are right...those two cards are far and away the two craziest cards in the deck...The most fun turns are when you play them together! :)

I just want to say, after reading over the sample hands, storm triggers do not trigger prowess, you do not cast storm copies, they are simply put onto the stack. If you cast them, storm would make the game end in a draw - without a different wording.

Great deck though, seems really interesting to play.

Validis...my lord. I literally never saw that! It makes perfect sense that copying a spell doesn't "cast" it (despite each being seperate on the stack). Thank you! I will update accordingly. May still be worth it; but thank God it was only a 1-of :)

I have been checking test hands with this deck, and I have one question? How well to you do against the traditional jeskai control matchups? I have repeatedly gotten hands that just feel like they fall apart against one or two counterspells in the first few turns of the game.Only matchup I can think of that I don't really like that I can think of right now, it seems to have pretty good matchups against the rest of the tiers as well, except Vault Skirge Ensoul Artifact affinity opening (which in itself is rare).
