Strategy: Combines burn with solid creatures that can cause trouble. Goal is to play the 1 and 2m creatures from turns 1 to 3, then start to play Lava Spike and splice onto arcane spells as you draw them. The best combination of spells will depend greatly on whether you need to fight off creatures or go straight for your opponent.

It's important to get a Goblin Electromancer down early and give it shroud with the aura. The Electromancer makes the splice cost of Consuming Vortex more palatable.

Ideally, you start the game with a creature-based attack and move to burn in the mid game. T1 to T3 would be a Stream Hopper followed by a Frostburn Weird and then a Clout of the Dominus. With that to worry about, your opponent will hopefully be on a defensive footing as you shift to casting Lava Spike and spliced Glacial Ray or Consuming Vortex on T5 or T6. If you have no 1m creature in your opening hand maybe you can Lava Spike your opponent.
