Testing new additions, eldraine and whatnot.
Removed some of the higher cost creatures, cut planeswalkers. Swapped upkeep additional draws (like phyrexian arena) for direct draw.
Streamlined landbase.
I like having a sac outlet ready to be used. The new obzedat doesn't provide that kind of protection to my creatures.

If you want a sac outlet, Teysa, Orzhov Scion is the way to go. Ultimately, ghost council isn't that good.

It's Angel of Despair for less mana. People like to Clone the angel a lot, so this prevents them from having the ETB effect. Plus it's recurrable by both Sun Titan and Reveillark .

I like your decklist, +1 from me. Vish Kal has to be my favorite general with all his sacrificing shenanigans. Your decklist is sorta similar to mine. Vish Kal EDH

Thanks! This list is very dependent on the initial draw. I'm trying to improve that.

you need Blade of the Bloodchief in there. It allows you to kill any/all 1 or 2 toughness creatures indefinitely.

I'm thinking taking out one of the planeswalker for that equipment, but which one?

She does fetch me my swamps, i'm taking out the Veil one to try out Blade of the Bloodchief.

I took it out for Hallowed Burial . I'm kinda tired of playing Vat, and it's in another deck that can use it better. It was a good card in the deck, though, don't get me wrong.

Take out one of your 2 Debtors' Knell s for a Blade of the Bloodchief

you want Innocent Blood in here. I know you do.

Innocent Blood or Barter in Blood (wink wink)? And what should I take out for it?
I really like Innocent Blood though.

what's the point of Bitterblossom besides just having free creatures to sac? granted, you get free creatures to sac, but you're also losing life every turn.
September 6, 2013 1:20 p.m.
Well it's free card advantage (skullclamp, beaters if I have a sword in play, blockers if need be). I'm gaining a lot of life with that deck, so losing some isn't really an issue. I do take in recommendations if there's something better thant this enchantment. Maybe the new Erebos? 2 life for a card is a price I can pay.

High Priest of Penance or Ashen Rider from Theros?
September 11, 2013 1:45 p.m.
Oh Ashen Rider is so going in! It's either going to replace Archon of Justice or Avacyn, Angel of Hope
September 11, 2013 8:55 p.m.
I'd dump with Avacyn. Archon of Justice just has more synergy with the deck.

Dark Confidant really isn't a card to use in EDH when you've got cards that are 5-8 CMC. There are ways, especially with Black the get drawing power that are a lot less painful than Dark Confidant . I highly suggest taking him out as he will most likely kill you off or hurt you severely most games.
Other than that, I really like this deck, it isn't often I see a Vish Kal, Blood Arbiter deck.
+1

I'm thinking putting Viscera Seer back, it might make the cut. Bob has been helping me though, and I must have been really lucky on his triggers because he hasn't hurt me a lot lately.

You know you can't use Angel of Serenity s effect on herself since it states "other creature"?
October 21, 2013 8:49 a.m.
Yes, I sacrifice her to one of my sac outlets, like the two lands or Vish himself.

Why not use obzedat?
