I have her, why not use her? —Oct. 8, 2012

Dropped the 3 Ash Zealots for 2 Olivia Voldarens and a 3rd Blasphemous Act. Ash Zealot was never a card i was like "yeah, it's a good thing to play this now". The 2 Olivia Voldarens i already owned. Love the card so i put her in. I often found myself asking for aBlasphemous Act when playtesting so i added in another. As always suggestions are appreciated, thanks.

I see why you're doing Falkenrath Noble instead of Blood Artist . Interesting.

Have you thought of maybe having some low cost creatures that benefit from dying? If anything, they'll let you keep a hand without Heartless Summoning , and give you advantage when they die either through chump blocking or when Heartless Summoning comes onboard. Drainpipe Vermin , Black Cat , Blood Artist (having both it and Falkenrath Noble I think is great), and Goblin Arsonist .

Archwing Dragon also works GREAT with Heartless Summoning . I'd rather have it than I would Balefire Dragon , which is just WAY too expensive, even with Summoning out.

Corpse Traders isn't bad. I would think though that Rakdos, Lord of Riots would fill that spot better. I know that he doesn't benefit from Heartless Summoning, but he effectively does the same job as Heartless Summoning AND is a fatty flyer. He's a win condition by himself.

I hear what you guys are saying, I'll drop Balefire Dragon as he never did much, and I usually didn't play him over other creatures. Haven't looked at all my options yet but I think I'll add Ash Zealot in for the Balefire Dragon . Probably going to drop the Corpse Traders for either 1) another Ash Zealot and Vexing Devil or 2) another Flayer of the Hatebound and one of the other two.

I like the idea, how is the consistency? I have a similar deck deck:the-big-lebrakdosi although I am working on keeping it's budget under $100 bucks.

Not sure how I feel about Ash Zealot since it doesn't benefit from Heartless Summoning . I tend to dial back a bit on the creatures and push more with removal to establish control. In this case I would probably drop the zealots, Blasphemous Act and the Slum Reaper s in favor of cards that can remove potential pains. Pillar of Flame gets rid of Fog Bank or other small annoyances, Duress can remove pieces of their plan before they ever have a chance to use them, as well as giving you insight into what threats you are likely to face. Even good ole Murder to keep the field nice and clear for your fatties to attack. +1 to you, since I see a good base setup and potential in your deck, good luck to you and stop by to check out my deck of similar nature!

Demonic Taskmaster would be a sac engine to give you a reason to ping w/ your undying creatures, and w/ Heartless Summoning he is 1 mana, which, trust me, is really nasty lol, after a board wipe, just LOL at them and throw down 4 3/2 flyers for 4 mana and they don't sac each other, so you just take em apart :) I love what you've done here, take a look at my b/r heartless, deck:black-and-red-colors-of-the-heartless
