That's right, everybody. Strap in because these menaces are shambling their way into the new Standard.
One of the linchpins of this deck has to be a new addition to Standard, Wayward Servant. This dude will slowly drain the life out of your opponent without even attacking. The discard ability of Cryptbreaker is useful in creating zombie tokens to continue draining with the Servant, and also helps draw cards on top of it all.
Another fantastic zombie released in Amonkhet is Plague Belcher. This walker is super sweet; it comes in as a 3/2 menace if you have no other guys, which is fine, but if you can kill one of your zombies with his first triggered ability, his second ability will trigger as well. Yum.
'Member Westvale Abbey
? I 'member too, which is why I added a few copies into the deck. Ormendahl is a fantastic endgame creature, and the sacrifice ability which transforms the Abbey is super synergistic with Plague Belcher.
The spells are mainly there for spot removal. Time to Reflect makes combat super tricky for the opponent (and can get rid of Gideon!!!), and Fatal Push is useful as well, since most creatures are small enough to push off the board.
