Hey, nice deck. I have been playing a lot of Mardu and will have my deck posted shortly. I will likely be trying to do PT this season, as my deck has yet to lose at any FNM or tourn I have gone to this season. With that being said! I lost a lot during testing and still only have 3 Rabblemasters (got mine for $2 before he was worth a lot, never found others that cheap).

That being said my deck is a little more control than yours, it is still midrange, but has more removal, planeswalkers, and burn elements.

I am not sure quite how much of a budget you are on but I'll make a few recommendations:

Drop 2x Grim Haruspex the draw is nice and it does help even out versus the draw given from Master of the Feast, but he is a little too slow for what your deck seems to want to do, which is bash people's faces in.

In his place try adding: 1-2x Iroas, God of Victory. He makes even your weenies difficult to block and lets you charge all in without fear. When he becomes a creature he is quite a threat as well.I'd add 2 for consistency, but if you are on a budget 1 would suffice.

Following the same line of Thought I'd remove 2x Thoughtseize and add 2 x Hordeling Outburst. This will make your aggro that much better by: ramping Goblin Rabblemaster, being chump blockers, sac meat, ect.

I'd keep Thoughtseize in the side board for any decks heavy on removal or any combo decks (Jeskai) with specific key cards you need to eliminate.

Cut out the 4x Gods Willing. They are nice, but they do not protect against sac, aoe, ect. Instead add 1 more Athreos, God of Passage in order to more consistently threaten your creatures being recast. This also helps with card advantage late game, so you can rely on your board presence instead of top decking a Gods Willing.

Also, for some more aggro/control help try adding 1-2x Mogis, God of Slaughter. He is like Sorin's ult each turn or he deals 2 damage. Mix that with Athreos and all your weenies and people will have many difficult choice, some may even sac that pesky Nyx-Fleece Ram if you can make the situation bad enough. Abzan can only cast so many Siege Rhino to negate your Athreos.

If you can get your hands on 2 more Goblin Rabblemaster do it. If not add the Wingmate Roc. He helps with life, is 2 flyers for 5 mana (nearly 100% of the time in a deck like this) and will help with your White Devotion.

This was the first deck I tested against that gave me a little bit of trouble so I feel you deserved some input.

Good Luck. +1

Awesome Comment, Thanks for all of the great suggestions! I have a lot of things to think about now. I'll be taking out the Grim Haruspex for sure now. But I'm hesitant to take out the Thoughtseize and even more so the Gods Willing. That being said you've given me some awesome things to consider putting in their places so maybe you're right. Thanks for the comment and the +1, you're awesome!

Hey Keith. While at the PTQ I had issues with token decks due to not siding in Bile Blight.Had I sided Bile Blight I would have been able to win 2 more of my matches.

Upon facing such an experience with a similar deck I suggest you add 2-3x Bile Blight to your sideboard.

Just curious love the deck but why not Sarkhan over Sorin?

HolySloth,

Sorin, Solemn Visitor is Awesome with the tokens here. I often times will have 5+ Goblin tokens and Sorin will double the damage they put out, and give me health back. I know that Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker is awesome but i just hate using him for some reason, he's a good beater but I'd rather just have a Stormbreath Dragon out. Sarkhans -3 is pretty nice though maybe I'll give him another shot. I'm not sure what I'd even take out though. Everything thats in here has a purpose and I've spent hours thinking over what stays in and what comes out of this deck to get it down to 60 cards.

Elspeth, Sun's Champion boardwipe still destroys Stormbreath Dragon. Pro color does not effect board state abilities.Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker may be better for your deck since he avoids Hero's Downfall during your turn and can remove creatures in a pinch.

Shoot, you're right Friagne. I'll look into Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker.

I'm jumping on the wagon and getting behind Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker. You've got to find a little love the for guy and give him some play. You'll be glad that you did.

you do realize that sarkhan still dies to down fall even on your turn because the target him in response to you using his ability to turn into a dragon.

No Ankle Shanker? I think it would work really well with the already-big token threat.

I've tried him but he is too slow and there's really no room for him in here.

I think I'm actually going to make a variant of this deck so thanks for posting! You could replace Seeker of the Way with Soulfire Grand Master. I know he's pricey, but you have a enough burn to justify him, and coming in with guaranteed life link is pretty solid.

Thanks TheReaganator that's an awesome Suggestion! I haven't thought about putting him in here yet. I'll playtest it with him in instead.

nice deck, its very much like mine. the only thing i would add is more mountains and a source of white mana. thats the problem with chained to the rocks, you need a solid turn two white mana and mountain for it to be worth it. thats why i went with thoughseize instead, despite the potential loss of three life, you butcher, sorin and tokens ought to get the life back easily. lastly i think you sould have more downfall, the entire competitive fnm(atleast where i live) revolves around plansewalkers and big creatures, especially with the new ugin seeing a lot of play.
