This deck benefits from the new downshifting of rarity of Mortician Beetle and Falkenrath Noble. The deck is is mono-black instead of the traditional B/G decklists. The main benefit is the use of many zombies and Ghoulcaller's Chant in the late game. Green provides better creatures to sacrifice especially in the 1 drops, however Butcher Ghoul and Sultai Emissary can pull some wait in this version. Mortician Beetle synergizes with the edict effects and Nameless Inversion synergizes with the Ghoulcaller's Chant. The rest of the deck is pretty straight forward. This version doesn't run Rite of Consumption as I am not a huge fan of the card as is. The absence of Rancor also makes it difficult to push through with a big Nantuko Husk, so I am more apt to play the long game.
