Noire_Samhain on Does anyone know the plane/planes …

There's ONE confirmed plane, from Unstable. Bablovia, described as a Mad Scientist world.

Its ruled by five Allied-colored groups, each ruling part of the world.

Order of the Widget- Blue/White. They're a technocracy, a government ruled by technology. They upgrade themselves into cyborgs... often for really specific reasons and because they can. Ruled by The Grand Calcutron, who is no longer human and all computer.

Agents of S.N.E.A.K.- Blue/Black. They are a kleptocracy, a government ran by thieves. They used to be a job board, but got obsessed with obtaining information and their toys and gadgets to the point spying was the only way to afford it. Also, they suck at their job. They're lead by Phoebe, Head of S.N.E.A.K.

League of Dastardly DOOM. They are an oligarchy... aka the most normal government type in the entire set. They're generic doomsday villains who all hate each other and constantly dispute whose in charge. Though they DO help support fledgling evil geniuses start. Their main leaders are Baron Von Count, The Big Idea, Mary O'Kill, and Grusilda, Monster Masher.

The Goblin Explosioneers are a Goblin kraterocratic and democratic kakistocracy... aka, they are somehow all ruled by the strong, the people... and the stupid. They like explosions. They worship hammers. They breed too fast for their bad ideas to wipe them out. Led by Ol' Buzzbark.

Crossbreed Labs is both a laboratory and a geniocracy, ruled by geniuses. They believe that one should be their true selves, usually by modifying themselves into crazy crossbreeds. Their end goal is a perfect society in which everyone can be themselves. Led by Dr. Julius Jumblemorph.

Lore dump, I know.

Yesterday on Non equipment equipments

There are a number of ways to turn Equipment into creatures in black-bordered Magic, so when we were playing with this card we followed Gidgetimer's quotes rule above.

However, we' re in silver-border territory here. So, if you were to have an Equipment that isn't a creature already be attached to a creature (such as by having Phoebe, Head of S.N.E.A.K. steal the text box of both Thassa, God of the Sea and Do-It-Yourself Seraph (and an Equipment via Seraph's ability either before or after Pheobe stole it)), and you control a Rules Lawyer when that equipment becomes a creature again, the state-based actions which cause the creature Equipment to detach from the equipped creature would not apply to those permanents, so you could have the Equipment also be a creature while it stays attached to the other creature and gives it the benefits. In that case, the Equipment creature would be able to tap and attack as a normal creature even while it's attached to the other creature which could also tap and attack as normal.

Rules Lawyer is hilarious, though also usually a bit of a nightmare for everybody involved in the game, including its controller. I'd recommend at least having a skim through the comprehensive rules on state-based actions if you plan on frunning it.

Madcookie on How does Phoebe's ability interact …

I've never played with any un-cards, but generally whenever a text on a card refers to a card by its name it is translated in the cases of copying as "this permanent" rather than the printed name.

706.10b A copy of an ability has the same source as the original ability. If the ability refers to its source by name, the copy refers to that same object and not to any other object with the same name. The copy is considered to be the same ability by effects that count how many times that ability has resolved during the turn.

For example if Mirage Mirror died while copying The Scarab God it will get returned to its owner's hand at the end of turn, regardless of the fact that it is not considered a creature or The Scarab God while in the graveyard. So Phoebe, Head of S.N.E.A.K. will permanently have the text and refer to herself in all instances of the name Modular Monstrosity in her newly acquired text box.

As for the other question I can think of Pongify, Beast Within and Polymorphist's Jest.

Cheers!

Does Phoebe, Head of S.N.E.A.K.'s ability to steal abilities change any instances of the card's name to her name? For example, if you stole Modular Monstrosity's ability, would it change who get's the keyword, or would Modular Monstrosity still get the new keywords? Also, could you reuse the same keyword it already has if you stole Modular Monstrosity from an opponent?

Also, does Phoebe lose any abilities she's stolen when she changes zones?

On an unrelated note, are there any cards other than Rapid Hybridization and Gift of Tusks that turn creatures into weird animals?

Honestly how could you NOT include Phoebe, Head of S.N.E.A.K. in this deck. Also have you considered putting in cards that remove cards from others hands or would that be too detrimental to your strategy?

Neotrup on Another Grusilda, Monster Masher question …

The text boxes aren't fused, rather the combined creature has two separate text boxes. Phoebe, Head of S.N.E.A.K. functions similarly, being able to have multiple text boxes.
