This pack
1 missing rare, 1 missing uncommon, 5 missing commons
Island
+1 Shadow Slice
With has much flying as we have and removal, I think we can see some added benefit from the Cipher. Also, if we ever get more Extort (though unlikely) we can get some extra in that way as well.

I want to make the Shadow Slice work, but we need some bodies to hold the ciphered cards first. I don't think we have enough creatures with evasion yet to warrant picking 3 life loss for 5 mana spell. Especially when there is a creature with evasion sitting here waiting to be picked

It'll be a while before I can move it along. Continue discussion if you like though!

I think Urban Evolution is the perfect maindeck oddball card we've been looking for. It ramps both our mana and our hand size, and at a reasonable 5 cmc, we can definitely justify splashing both green and blue. Heck, with this card, I say we go 5-color and stomp all of those scaredy cats that stick to 2-3 colors! Down with consistency! Down with efficiency! Up with the JANK!

+1 Balustrade Spy again
Need more mans for Shadow Slice to be worth it.

+1 Balustrade Spy.
Let's start hoping for some mana fixing to come our way.

+1 Balustrade Spy . Having more of these means a higher chance of milling opponent's big bombs, as well as giving us more meat. 2/3 flying is too good to pass up.

What do you know, a second one. Consistency is good, right guys?

+1 Balustrade Spy , as if it weren't an obvious choice.
I feel like if we had found the cards to put us firmly in WBG, I would actually pose Tower Defense as an option here, simply because it feels like fat butts and holding out is the game plan here. As it stands, pretty sure our Spy is the durrrr pick.

Yeah, obvious +1 Balustrade Spy . Wow, nice work us. Only other option is Shadow Slice and that's pretty bad.
May 17, 2013 6:33 p.m.
Shadow Slice is nice, but I found it's not that amazing compared to another Balustrade Spy in limited. now if we had a few more Shadow Slices then it would be a different story. let hope for a Undercity Plague . Love that card, pulled one last week in a draft and decimated my opponents when it came out.

Many Balustrade Spies died to bring us these Draft Debate plans.

Giggity
I do like Shadow Slice . A friend of mine wrecked me with a copy not long ago. But we passed on quite a few flyers in the first round. And I suspect a fair bit of removal got "removed" before we saw it in this rounds. So, bodies are good.

+1 Balustrade Spy
While Shadow Slice
is a very nice spell, the fact is that every deck needs a decent amount of bodies. The Spy is not only a body, it's an evasive body with a utility. No way we are going to pass it even though we already got one.

So, it's going to be a while before KC has another pack for us. And, early tallies suggest another spy will be joining the team without too much discussion. But I like a good debate. This edition of DDD has been a pleasantly lively one.
I say we fuss about something else. Yes, I'm an instigator.
I believe our next pack will be the same pack we started with. For those of you too lazy to clock on the link, that pack was the one where we took Guardian of the Gateless . Last time we saw it, it contained the following.
Island
Here's the debate. Name 4 of the cards that will come back around to us.
May 17, 2013 7:47 p.m.
Wildwood Rebirth , Riot Gear , Shattering Blow , Contaminated Ground , Leyline Phantom , and perhaps Corpse Blockade /Gutter Skulk .
May 17, 2013 8:12 p.m.
We all ready to vote for Balustrade Spy #3 in the next pack?
May 17, 2013 8:33 p.m.
Maaaaan, if we get a third Spy I may lose myself to giddiness.
I feel like we'll see the Gutter Skulk , Riot Gear , Shattering Blow and Wildwood Rebirth for sure. We ....miiiight? ...want the Skulk? Not sure what else will wheel, but out of seven cards, Island may be our best bet.
May 17, 2013 10:12 p.m.
We have a pretty good chance imo, we should see 6 cards in the pack, not including the island, and considering we just saw 2 other Balustrade Spy s, I'm guessing no one else wants them.
May 17, 2013 10:27 p.m.
Add yet another flyer to our deck. Seems like we're getting quite the collection going.
May 18, 2013 12:38 a.m.
Aw Hell, I'm going all in on this one. 4 is too easy. I'll try and call every one that comes back:
Contaminated Ground
Keymaster Rogue
Riot Gear
Shattering Blow
Gutter Skulk
Wildwood Rebirth
May 18, 2013 4:39 a.m.
Incidentally, Goody has convinced me to change my vote to Urban Evolution .

These four seem most likely:
Wildwood Rebirth
Shattering Blow
Riot Gear
Contaminated Ground
And I GUESS the contaminated ground, of these 4, would be preferred. 2 more likely to be seen again are:
Scab-Clan Charger
Corpse Blockade
May 18, 2013 5:50 a.m.
Can't believe we all got Wildwood Rebirth wrong on that one.
I was sure that thing would table.

Follow it up with another Balustrade Spy maybe?
