This deck is built around life gain from summoning creatures using its low mana cost to get you to be able to play all cards at 3 mana meaning you shouldn't need to worry about being mana screwed if your opening hand begins with 3 mana. Along side the life gain there are cards like ajani's pridemate and lone rider which benefit from the life gain putting creatures down provides. Deadly recluse and bow of nylea are in the deck as extra protection as deadly recluse has deathtouch and reach so flying monsters can be blocked and the bow of Nylea keeps your opponent somewhat at bay if they are cautious against deathtouch. Heliod's pilgrim is in the deck to search out enchantments usable towards the decks win condition or pacifism if your opponent is using a monster you can't clear away with any other tool in the deck. Last there is a combo in the deck that can be pulled off with 2 cards in the deck which are both four of in this deck which would be the combo of presence of gond alongside midnight guard which provides a infinite army of token creatures ready to send your opponent from full life to absolute zero.
