I'm a massive fan of cheap decks and modern is an expensive format, but one I want to get into playing. I'm also a massive fan of 5 colour decks. They're fun to play and people rarely have answers for a turn 3 6/6 vigilance trample (which this deck will often produce, hopefully)
The lands are definitely the most expensive part of the deck, but you can make it cheaper with shimmering grotto and transguild promenade, it does make the deck slower however. I'm still tempted by the vivid land cycle and will probably experiment with that some time in the future
I'm really loving the spark troopers in this deck. If the game is dragging on and you're getting shit draws, a spark trooper in the graveyard and a Horde of Notions on the battlefield can easily change the game (gain 6 life a turn? yes please)
I will probably play around with this deck to make it exceptionally cheap. It won't be great, but it'll be half competitive, hopefully with a price tag of less than $50
The good thing about this deck is that you can sideboard whatever you feel the meta is at your LGS, or you can just do normal sideboard cards like naturalize, hercule's recall, that green card which stops you getting poisoned, gut shot, etc.
This deck is a budget deck. If you want to spend $200 on the fetch and shock lands to make this super playable and competitive, be my guest. I think the creature base is good regardless, however (maybe take out a couple of the ramp creatures and put in more/better elementals)
I would love feedback on this deck, and I'd be interested to hear from people who have made a similar deck to hear what you did or if it was a complete flop.
