I am making a MUD deck I am split between which lands I should use.
Currently I have been toying with,
4x Cloudpost
4x Glimmerpost
4x Vesuva
4x Ghost Quarter (I'm poor and can't afford Wasteland , yet. So don't tell me to get it, I know I need it, fingers crossed for Christmas)
However I have been wondering if I should switch to the Urza Tron lands like
My big question is do the tron lands work in legacy or are they to slow to power this deck?
the first set is much better, especially since every legacy deck runs 4 Wasteland , haha. they would just continue to target one type of your urza's and wait until you play that same urza land again.

Yep. Pithing Needle mainboard is a necessity for 12 Post because of that.

So in case you haven't seen these:
12-post MUD has proven itself to be the most consistent version of this deck. Tron is garbage in Legacy because of how many decks are packing a full set of Wasteland s. There's the 20 land version, which skips over Cloudpost in favor of Cavern of Souls and more mana rocks, but that version is really inconsistent and is prone to getting blown out or mulliganing down to five.
So you'll want:
4x City of Traitors 4x Ancient Tomb 4x Cloudpost 4x Glimmerpost 4x Vesuva 4x Wasteland
If you can't afford Wasteland , I'd just use Crystal Vein instead for the fast mana. Ghost Quarter sets you back and most people already play basics to deal with Wasteland . You can't Ghost Quarter something, have them get a basic Island , then Wasteland you on their turn. You'll get way too far behind at that point.

Red MUD is also a thing. It uses Cavern of Souls and Great Furnace to be able to play 4 copies of Goblin Welder , sacrificing some of the explosive speed for a bit more resilience, if you're expecting to meet heavy resistance.

No Tron lands in Legacy. You're better off with the 12 Post lands. Also, Thespian's Stage works wonders. That plus Dark Depths is awesome.
Are you going colorless, or including green...? Green offers tutors and acceleration like Ancient Stirrings , Explore / Exploration , and Crop Rotation . Something to think about.
I have a mono green 12 Post that rocks pretty hard.
