Need help Abusing mimic vat

so I am working on making a deck made to abuse Mimic Vat ...is there any way to keep the token's/copy's of said card out permanantly,? (assuming creature)
if not i was going to go with Instant's as its "exiled card"
if it helps this will be causual/multiplayer so ANY card would help... i also plan to use artifact lands and Unwinding Clock also using Darksteel Ingot
looking for cool red/white/blue cards to combo with it...and thats about it...thank you in advanced

so if i copy a populate card...the copy gets exiled and the token(s) of whatever it copied lives?

Sundial of the Infinite in response to the exile trigger. Tokens stay.

This: Zandl's GW Flicker (for SCG Vegas) - was my deck from last summer I made while taking a small break from Wolf Run decks. The whole idea was to get Thragtusk on a Mimic Vat and abuse the shit out of it.
Don't forgot; you can use Mimic Vat at the end of your opponent's end step and you keep the token around until your end step (and Mimic Vat untaps at the beginning of your turn).

well we play multiplayer (3-6 people) so if i use Unwinding Clock and Darksteel Ingot (with artifact land's) i could abuse the living crap out of things if i get the combo's out...that thragtusk...just pure evil...

note if either gideon dies when you have mimic vat out you can make planeswalker tokens!

See Acidic Slime , Thragtusk , Restoration Angel , Craterhoof Behemoth , Mist Raven , Snapcaster Mage , Augur of Bolas , Blade Splicer , Vexing Devil , Bone Shredder , Archon of Justice , Angel of Despair , Terastodon , Woodfall Primus , titans, Eternal Witness , Riftsweeper . The list of insane cards with mimic vat goes on for days.

I'm just going to hi-jack this thread to ask: How does Misthollow Griffin work with Mimic Vat , by the way? If it's exiled with the Vat and then I cast it, does it mean afterwards the Vat can't make tokens of it?

Use Popluate cards. The populated token won't be removed, while the original copied one will.
