Replacement for Grand Abolisher?

Deck Help forum

I need something that does the equivalent of Grand Abolisher, but not a creature. are there any enchantments, Artifacts, or things like that that are able to prevent my opponents from casting spells on my turn?

Defense Grid is the closest thing I can think of.

Please link the cards Grand Abolisher to make it easier for people to help, and in which format?

Dosan the Falling Leaf , City of Solitude , Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir are the first few I can think of, but two of them are creatures

Stony Silence hits artifacts

i think this is the deck. so more specifications on the card he is looking for would be non-creature, commander format.

Silence , Render Silent , AEther Storm , Abeyance , Aurelia's Fury , Hand to Hand , Mana Maze , Orim's Chant , Overmaster ...

use gatherer.wizards.com and search "can't cast spells." there's lots of options depending on exactly what combo you're trying to protect.

my mistake, I apologize

Thank you for all of the suggestions. What prompts the request is basically wanting to make my deck a bit less of a glass-cannon, and shuflw did get the right one.

So far the best thing I found is Price of Glory and Defense Grid to, while not being able to prevent my opponents from countering me, making it much more difficult to do so. Also, am I correct in saying that Defense Grid would make Pact of Negation cost 3 colorless to play in addition to the "on next upkeep" cost?

No that's a triggered ability not a casting cost.

I meant as an original casting cost, as in theyd have to pay 3 to cast it, then still pay the upkeep cost later

That is true.
