I built this deck as a personal challenge. i wanted to make it so that Tibalt, Fiend-Blooded didn't seem like a waste and one of the ways I thought to do that was Madness. It's a gamble that can pay off with either heavy effects or creatures at a low cost.

It can also keep your opponents slowly decking with effects like Dragon Mage or Book Devourer, but as a word of caution it can be a double-edged sword if you don't pay attention. So if you can, get Epitaph Golem out fast.
