For my birthday one year a friend and cohost from The Mana Pool, Brian, made me a deck. He knew how much I enjoyed throwing things in the graveyard, so he crafted me a deck around Necrotic Ooze. The Ooze takes on the activated abilities of all creatures in graveyards. So why not give it some sweet abilities by dumping creatures in graveyards?

Brian does just that, with creatures like Visara the Dreadful , Arcanis the Omnipotent, and Geth, Lord of the Vault on the high, super-impressive end. On the more utilitarian side of things, he has Jodah's Avenger, Twisted Abomination , Dreamscape Artist, and Dimir Guildmage . Then there's Soliton and Leech Bonder to give the Ooze the ability to untap itself.

That's all well and good, but how do we find the Ooze in the first place? Well we have Dimir House Guard and Clutch of the Undercity, both useful in their own right, to Transmute for him!

Well okay fine, but how do we get creatures into the graveyard for to Ooze to mimic? That's easy! Corpse Connoisseur can pitch creatures, Stinkweed Imp can Dredge them into the bin, and [Careful Considerations]] lets me discard them.

I've saved my favorite bits for last! Training Grounds makes any abilities my Ooze runs across cheaper, which is pretty awesome. Myr Propagator is just the best though. When a creature has an ability that mentions its own name (like Soliton for example), there's usually no question as to how it works. When Necrotic Ooze has the ability of Myr Propagator , it makes other copies of ITSELF! That way we can flood the world with Oozes! How awesome is that?
