Ooooooooh, we finally hit 1000 upvotes. Thank you all so much for liking this deck, no matter what deck I make, will this one always be my favorite.
Now, if Wizards would just make some more squirrels, then that would be amazing. Once again, thank you all for your support <3!
I really want to like Acorn Catapult , I really really do, but there is something about I just don't like. I like the damage part, but when shooting down your opponent's stuff, do they get a squirrel, I really don't want to give 'em squirrels!! And it seems a bit silly to be shooting acorns at my own squirrels, mostly cause they would die of it if they aren't pumped with stuff.
On the other hand, does it have some interesting combat tricks, like, I block with a squirrel, well knowing it will die, before the damage step, I shoot it with the catapult, it dies, enemy creature is blocked and I now stand tall with another squirrel~ And twice the squirrel with Druid's Call .

What you do, is you get a card that can take a hit because the catapult only does 1 damage. So all you would need it to equip anything with Darksteel Plate and you can shoot it with acorns all day long and give yourself even more squirrels. And yes, when you shoot anything an opponent controls with Acorn Catapult they get a squirrel token.
As for your second part " does it have some interesting combat tricks, like, I block with a squirrel, well knowing it will die, before the damage step, I shoot it with the catapult, it dies, enemy creature is blocked and I now stand tall with another squirrel?" yes because it's a card ability and everything that's a card's tap ability or otherwise activates at instant speed, so you could do that I believe.

So really, a good combo for your deck would be to have 4 Acorn Catapult 1 or 2 Darksteel Plate and 1 Unwinding Clock and 4 Darksteel Ingot . You equip something with the DS Plate, then shoot it with 4 catapults using the mana from the DS Ingots. During your opponents turn, the DS Ingots and the catapults untap thanks to Unwinding Clock and you can shoot whatever creature you have that's indestructible with the catapults again and get more squirrels. Then all you need is to add some artifact search cards to your deck and maybe Roaring Primadox + Yisan, the Wanderer Bard . Use Yisan to get out all of your creatures quickly and then bring down Primadox and return Yisan to your hand, then on the next turn, return Primadox to your hand and play Yisan again. I believe there are artifacts that have the same effect as Primadox, but I'm not sure what they are.

Way to many cards for something that can be done better by what I already have in the deck. By adding all those cards, would I have to remove other cards that is currently more important. Plus, none of those cards are good by 'emselves, unless you build around 'em, which is out of question in the deck I currently have.
On the other hand, you could try brew something together that works with that combo of yours, tho' it worn't be as good at making squirrels as this deck. c:

hey if you had Vigor down and you used Acorn Catapult on one of your other creatures ( bonus if it has Druid's Call on it ) wouldn't you get both counters and more squirrels? well that's how I see it anyway
p.s sorry if links didn't work new to this site and community :3

lilfoxgod: First of, welcome to the site, hope you'll enjoy your time here~
And second, you're right, it would help a lot with Vigor out, but I still don't like the fact that it would cost me 5 mana in total for my first squirrel, it's just the 4 mana to cast it that feels annoying to me x3.

You could take out the Pendelhaven and the Mutavault as these seem rather useless and put in Market Festival and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx . If you put in 2 of each then that would solve basically all mana issues. You could then use your Arbor Elf to untap any land that's enchanted with Market Festival and then tap it again for 3 mana. Also, Coat of Arms is far more beneficial in your deck than Beastmaster Ascension so you could have 2 coat's of arms and maybe 1 beastmaster, but taking out both might be best. Since you're producing a lot of tokens you might get good use out of Perilous Forays .

You also don't need to have 4 Earthcraft , you would be fine with 2. Then you could put in Bow of Nylea and Parallel Lives .

i do like squirrels. but i have a couple questions. as far as the 6m squirrel combo.. are you usually consistent in getting a ton of squirrels? like 2 out of 3 games u get a ton, or is it faulty and susceptible to fatties with trample. also if you are getting the overdose on quirrels shouldnt you be fine with just nut collector in play? instead of needing other buffs like beast master ascention? just saying i know BA is sick for this but 6m squirrels is definantly not something to shake a stick at. just askin.

Earthcraft is one of the center pieces in this deck, it alone helps me manage my mana well so I worn't need to add more stuff that gives me mana.
Parallel Lives is there to be thrown into the deck, in case people worn't play against the deck cause of the Earthcraft +Squirrel Nest combo.
Taking out Beastmaster Ascension and Coat of Arms would weaken the deck a lot, as I usually win the moment those cards hit the field. It can be discussed which is better, it probably is the Coat, but I still like the ascension a lot, as it's also a underplayed card, it's not hard to trigger it's effect in this deck as you should have a big army of squirrels out in no time, plus it also grants a bunch of buffing goodness even if I only have like 3 or so creatures out.
Pendelhaven is there to boost some of the squirrels before they get pumped to amazingness, it have saved me a few times. Mutavault is amazing, turning this to a creature turns it into a squirrel and squirrels in general is the essence of this deck, it will get all the boosts from all my other cards and can wreck stuff by itself. Never underestimate the power of man-lands~

Infallable: Well you're correct that 6mil squirrels surely wrecks stuff alone, but it's not always that combo get into play and when it does, people will be aware of it and have removal ready most of the time. but the good thing about this deck, is that it can still fight back hard even without those millions of squirrels.
I have no count on how many times Deranged Hermit and Squirrel Mob alone have won me games, and those backed up by cards like Vigor , Beastmaster Ascension , Coat of Arms will surely net you wins.
And well, you can't have enough squirrels~

My point is, you don't need that many copies of Earthcraft because it effects all of your creatures, so having 4 doesn't seem to serve any purpose. Coat of Arms will give you a lot more power overall than Beastmaster Ascension will because you're really only producing one type of creature. If you double up on coat of arms instead of beastmaster, you'll have more power because beastmaster tops out at only +5.

Earthcraft is a combo piece and therefor very important in the deck, having 4 of 'em will help out even more to get hold of 'em and even if I drew one while having one on the field/hand already, would it just serve as a backup in case my opponent removes the one I already got out.
You almost make it sound like +5/+5 isn't much o: But what it also does, is that it makes ALL my cards even more powerful, a 10/10 Vigor is nothing to scoff at~ And well, Beastmaster is also cheaper and cheaper is good~

Everyone should li.... No....Everyone should love squirrels~

I've tried Rhys, but he sadly isn't that fun tho', if the token he made was squirrels on the other hand! Then he'd be almost just like my custom Planeswalker. c:

No Acorn Catapult ? you could also make all of the squirrels get the effect of Akroma's Memorial .
