This deck, as the name suggests, is built around Mortality Spear which is an awesome card! Is it better and more fun than Mythos of Nethroi?? I think so, albeit with obviously inferior art. I love building Abzan decks, so here we go.

We obviously need some lifelinkers so Valentin, Dean of the Vein   Nullpriest of Oblivion are nice early drops that both have menace so should get through to trigger Trelasarra, Moon Dancer and Blood Researcher. Prosperous Innkeeper triggers them when they come into play, and is really great in here. I know from my soon to be rotated deck https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/demonic-embrace-2/ that flying and lifelink is great against aggro so Maul of the Skyclaves in to make sure I get my beats in and gain life. It also works great on the death touchers. Toski, Bearer of Secrets also triggers when they hit and can run up quite an advantage.

Prosperous Innkeeper helps with the mana fixing, but mana looks pretty bleak in the upcoming Standard. Have any decent lands been spoiled? Can I even get those gain life tap-lands??
