Tidying up the page a little. Comments are still here, they're simply hiding in the archives. Thanks all!

Reins of Power could be decent little blow out in 1v1 matches, I will certainly consider it. Thanks Etoilebane.

Feel like this needs some storm stuff. It just makes so much sense for the colors. Ignite Memories and Grapeshot, for instance. Also if you want value/spellslinging, Melek, Izzet Paragon is pretty great [and synergizes with storm really well if you decide you want to include some storm].

I had Melek in here before and found him a little clunky tbh, but I like the idea of both of those storm cards, especially Ignite Memories - Thanks scaesura. Any thoughts as to what to take out?

Not sure entirely, but maaaaaybe you could drop either Treasure Cruise or All Is Dust for that? All is Dust seems like it could easily screw you as much as anyone else, as good of wipe as it is, and you already have Cyclonic Rift and a few other good wipe-ish effects in here.

Treasure Cruise is definitely up for debate. Card draw is key, but Ignite Memories seems like it could be a win-con on it's own. As for All Is Dust, my colored permanent count is a mere 6 so it definitely hurts my opponents more than it hurts me...Plus I can often cast it for free if the XP counters are there.

I appreciate the suggestions, cuts are getting tough! Some tricky decisions to make.

True enough, on All Is Dust. Lands count toward that too though since it doesn't specify non-land permanents. So it really shuts down the table for a bit as well.

Ah, but luckily lands are colorless. I hope your opponents haven't been making you sac your lands to All Is Dust for years!

Blast of Genius and Aethersnatchseem like they would be great in this deck.

Thanks Eldrazi_shall_reign_supreme, much appreciated. Aethersnatch is certainly useful tech, but the casting cost is a bit of a concern. Obviously not a problem if there's enough XP counters out...I slotted in Misdirection instead but I may need to reconsider this card and give it a whirl. Same thing with Blast of Genius - Awesome effect, prohibitive CC. I'm going to play-test both and see how it goes.

April 15, 2016 4:03 p.m.

No problem Bro! I also thought that Cloven Casting might be a great way to make the game impossible for your opponents but, like you said, the mana cost may be a bit to pricy. My only other suggestion would be Spellheart Chimera. Other than that, good luck!

And also Psychic Spiral needs to be here.

I currently only have 2 multicoloured spells in the deck so I couldn't take advantage of Cloven Casting - Funny card though, I dig it. Psychic Spiral is definitely an interesting consideration.

I'm back! Tried Cast Through Time or Fevered Visions yet?

May 6, 2016 6:11 p.m.

Forkbeard says... #16

Cast Through Time is certainly an awesome effect but much too pricey for a non-instant/sorcery - I need to keep that mana back for spells. Fevered Visions doesn't really do enough work, but I love that art!

I know it's not a wizard, and I know you're trying to keep creatures to a minimum, but have you thought about Psychosis Crawler?

May 14, 2016 4:11 p.m.

Forkbeard says... #18

Ownagemaster, I totally have. Excellent synergy with all the card draw and a potential win condition on it's own. I think I'll give it a shot and see how it goes, thanks for the suggestion.

Ownagemaster says... #19

This would depend on your meta, but what about Chain Reaction? I have a fairly creature heavy meta, so it's a thing.

Yes! Great board clear option to consider, thanks. I'll have to think about what to remove to make room - Cuts are getting pretty tough.

Also, what about Invoke the Firemind? Damage or card advantage on command, plus a free experience counter.

May 15, 2016 1:24 p.m.

Forkbeard says... #22

I had that spell in here before and found it pretty sub par due to the 3 mana casting cost requirement - Probably seems trivial but in Mizzix it's important. Unless it's a win-con such as Blue Sun's Zenith or Insurrection, I've opted to steer away from anything colour mana intensive.

Forkbeard I would greatly appreciate it if you would give me some feedback on my Mizzix deck. http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/mizzix-just-wants-to-watch-the-world-burn-2/

Really nice build and description, +1. Stifle could be good against certain commanders. Quicken another option to open up all your sorceries to instant speed. Looks fun! I know it's not a wizard but Thing in the Ice  Flip wants you to play instants/sorceries and also can bounce the board. Just somethings to consider.

Thanks very much Jimmy_Chinchila, great ideas. I particularly like Quicken - I'm embarrassed to say that I don't think I've even seen that card before! Relevant tech + it cantrips, I dig it. Thing in the Ice  Flip is hilarious and it would be real easy to flip here. Definitely up for consideration.
