It's the legend I've been waiting for to be at the helm of my thopter tribal deck!
Why does this exist? I just know this is going to be my prerelease promo...

JaysonSunshine: So how fast on average does turbofroggy go off with a good hand?
On that note what is a reasonable clock for Jeleva zur and proshh?

I think some sort of voltron build that takes advantage of the silence effect might be better.
I'm pretty sure all the support you'd need for thopter tribal is all on colored cards.
Nim Deathmantle and Hero's Blade seem like shoo-ins.
Any ideas on fitting this into the 99 of anything? Might work in Silas, Glissa, and Meren.

Gates88: If I am not mistaken the eggs build we used from that article was made by Gerst

Wizards is pushing the power level of this set without regard for consequences. That much is obvious. I vote our new thopter overlord be placed in a new S-tier until the RC bans it.

I'd suggest changing the Breya list pointer to a more competitive build. There's a bunch of decent ones out there. I think there's no question Breya is Tier-1 if you switch to a Tier-1 list.
Or, wait, is this supposed to be a list of pointers to competitive builds? Or is this just a list of builds that kinda do funky things and are fun or something? Sorry if I'm misinterpreting things, I found my way here from the cEDH subreddit.

I think Hope of Ghirapur will go well in any stax or control deck with good artifact recursion. For instance I think I'm going to try it out in the Tana, the Bloodsower + Silas Renn, Seeker Adept stax list I'm building.

Renegade Rallier is great in Saffi, especially since it can be tutored with Summoner's Pact and GSZ, but as others have mentioned the sac outlets are hard to assemble.
With that said, there might be a way to make it work with Greater Good which is far easier to tutor in GW colors than the artifacts. Because Renegade has 3 attack you can keep card parity in your hand and dig through your library for things like Elvish Spirit Guide, Mox Opal, and Mox Diamond to get extra mana for Altar of Dementia.
Between Greater Good being an enchantment and Renegade Rallier being a green creature, you'll have one of the most easily tutorable combos we've ever seen for Saffi with the only issue being the steep mana requirements for Greater Good.
I think if people build the deck like that, Saffi can be tier 2 again.

Ah sorry 3 power not 3 attack. Too much Hearthstone man...

Oh sorry, I forgot about Mana Crypt for a second. So there you go. If you haven't played Crypt yet all you need is 2 cards in hand when you start the Renegade+Saffi+Greater Good combo like that, and as you dig with Greater Good you discard every card that isn't an Altar of Dementia or Mana Crypt. Once you get those two cards in your hand, you win.

Hope would be amazing in Silas. Swing, sac revive. Powers your stax engine 50% of the time for just one mana every two turns. Seems great to me. In casual games, anyway.

Hope kind of reminds me of Xantid Swarm. It procs on damage instead of combat, and doesn't prevent flash creatures, and it requires sacrifice, but it extends the prevention through the entire turn cycle. Plus it has a lower color requirement. I could see it going in Meren. Possibly Karador. I'm not sure if any combo decks want it as protection, but it's certainly a possibility.

Would have to be non-white as Silence is pretty dope as is.

Maybe Hope could see play in Edric, Spymaster of Trest?

n0bunga: I'm impressed with the amount of work you've put into your Breya deck. Really nice write up, I actually LOLd reading it. I just think it's not the most competitive list. Which is fine, it looks fun to play!

So Hope of Ghirapur is going to be good in the 99 of a lot of decks, but how will it be as a commander? It may be too early, but I think that given its color identity, stats, and effect that's only useful after combat damage, I think we can tentatively set it as tier 4. I could see an argument made for it being tier 3 though since that's where Karn is and I imagine that deck construction would be similar (only with less big artifacts). Any thoughts? Too early to tell?

Just a note, almost anything that can sac itself goes into a Meren deck.

Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is a cardinal sin for this but could you look at my AStaxa HD deck and tell me whether or not it is cEDH playable?

Why is Sliver Queen Tier 2 while Sliver Overlord is Tier 3? That's backwards in my experience, but I'm probably wrong. Could someone explain it to me?

Because Sliver Queen goes infinite easily whereas Sliver Overlord is an 8 mana creature tutor.

I hope to see a Hanna, Ship's Navigator list in the tier 3 deck list section here eventually. I'm building her right now and while my goal isn't a pure competitive list, it is always nice to see an example that is considered well tuned as a reference point. I am really glad to see the decklist section expanding in general as it could be a very valuable resource in itself.
