Watason723 You are both correct, and incorrect.
Yisan and Tazri are both complete shit if you build the decks in a fair manner the way they want you to build them. If you look at Yisan or Tazri and think, "oh, I guess i'll use this ability once per turn cycle", then of course they're going to be garbage.
Of course, the point of EDH is to be degenerate, regardless of what your definition of that is. And when competitive players get degenerate with Yisan or Tazri, they turn into tier 1 combo decks.

could you imagine what wouls happen if you used jeleva for what she was meant for. absolute garbage should be your first thought. you have to use some noggining when you think up these strats my man, dont let ally and human fool you. they are more than that in actuality

kengiczar the quickest win i can personally get with it is 7, but im pretty sure that if you aren't inept you can get it as early as t3 since you only have to gain 11 life and play sydri and the reservoir to win. i recommend you make your own list, as it will def be better than mine.

I'm also immensely interested in Sydri Storm. I'll also take a crack at this one.

As someone who plays Yisan. "once per turn cycle" "One removal spell" LOL!
Excuse me, I need to go change my pants cause I'm laughing so hard.
Quirion Ranger, Scryb Ranger, Seedborn Muse, Wirewood Symbiote for the first one.
Sylvan Safekeeper for the second among other nasties.
Also, keep in mind that 9 times out of 10 you aren't going to use Yisan on your turn EVER. You use it on an opponent's turn in response to whatever they play. If they go to swords your Yisan you activate him and get safekeeper in response and you're good. Similarly you can do the same in response to someone playing something with an activated ability and get Phyrexian Revoker.
Birthing Pod can only be activated at sorcery speed, Yisan is instant speed and you can EASILY get 2-3 activations in a turn.

I mean there are degenerate stuff you can do with any commander. Doesn't mean it automatically should qualify as tier one. Yeah Tazri has combos and there is protection for Yisan. That doesn't make them way better cards.

so are we going to get a troll everyday now. after i showed off that first time i said i didnt regret it. but if it keeps happening im going to saybsomething i do regret. because this is starting to get super annoying. NarejED, can you work on a brew that can win through resevoir with a stax shell so we can compare storm with ar, stax with ar, and staff stax

Watason723 - They are capable of comboing off extremely quickly and consistently. I believe everyone can agree that Prossh and Scion are T1 decks. Now imagine the Prossh combo with Scion's consistency, and you get a rough idea at why Tazri recently became T1. As for Yisan, look here.

I remember when Food Chain Taxri was first talked about, but when did she get upgraded to tier one? Was this recent?

What's fun about the thing that Merrow posted is that it's not even the best version of yisan. It just happens to be one that explains some of the chains lol.
Avenger is usually worse than hornet queen in Yisan decks, etc.
BTW, I can tell you from experience nothing feels better than Yisan for 6 at my last opponent's end step to get a Woodland Bellower to fetch Shaman of Forgotten Ways, untap and kill the table. Absolutely hilarious.

Aggro-Blaster - We finalized it a bit over a month ago.
Ohthenoises - IKR :) I just needed the most official looking thing that showed why Yisan is good.

I thought we had one? If my memory serves me correctly, it should have been posted about 2.5 weeks ago. Unfortunately, I'm working now, so I can't go digging for it.

Also, thegigibeast, the Zegana decklist link seems to be defunct. Use the following:

as a glissa the traitor player i always thought she was like tier 2 but oh well.

@RandomMagicPlayer: Typically you want cards that hate out specific strategies, such as Extract, Cursed Totem, Torpor Orb, and Nihil Spellbomb. Focus on the biggest threats in your meta and stick tools designed to cripple them in the SB.

Glissa, the Traitor is a good general. I have used her at times and she is a load of fun. However she is outclassed by many tier 2 G/B generals. G/B just doesn't support artifacts enough for her to be relevant.
Food Chain Tazri is disgustingly powerful. There is no doubt that list is tier 1

So I know Voltron typically doesn't do well in cEDH but I really wonder about Kalemne's placement in T4.
I've tweaked a build with her for a little while now and it's just disgusting.
It runs a heavy amount of ramp to ensure T2-3 Kalemne and then, the following turns, into things like Savage Beating, Aggravated Assault, World at War, Aurelia, and Godo. Godo being particularly nasty due to he ability to search out a haste source for himself or a evasion/protection tool for Kalemne if a haste tool is already present.
I'm not saying T2 here but I've seen it do nasty things in multiplayer even against some of the top decks.
I've seen it otk the whole table by turn 5 before.
(Disclaimer: it's actually my wife's deck but I've been helping her tweak it)

Do we have the optimized rashmi list in the brewing or is she just in spec atm? If any exists, link please. Just trying to upgrade my Azusa deck without going the yisan path and cascading for lands seems fun. Thanks all

Thoughts on Padeem, Consul of Innovation in Teferi PW's 99?
Edit: somehow the comments unarchived themselves and we're back to a bazillion? Or is that just me. They popped up after I went to the preview window for this comment.
