The Kor are a hearty, nomadic race of people that originated from plane of Zendikar but have frequented other planes. They are a very spiritual race, often taking a decade or more of their lives to go on a pilgrimage and use their often used rope hooks to travel the cliffs and floating isles of Zendikar in their travels. Even though they travel light, the Kor are survivalists at heart and know how to live and sometimes fight on the move.

There are currently 44 Kor cards in Magic: The Gathering however, the newest set Oath of the Gatewatch is poised to add to that total. For todays creature feature, we focus on the Kor and a deck celebrating this mystical race of weapon wielding nomads.

The decks strategy is a simple one, Get your Kor into play as soon as possible. With lower than average casting costs it shouldnt be hard to do. Once they are in play focus on getting your equipment into the battlefield and equipping the Kor for beneficial and hard hitting attacks.

Several of the equipment in the deck are more difficult to get into play and this is where the money card, Stoneforge Mystic is key. Not only does this Kor tutor the exact equipment you may need for any situation, it also allows you to put it into play for what could be a lowered cost. This works best for higher casting cost equipment such as Elbrus, the Binding Blade or Deathmender.

The non-basic lands in the deck also have come into play abilities that help the deck. Sejiri Steppe can potentially make one of your well equipped Kor unblockable with the protection ability, Sandstone Bridge can grant them +1/+1 and vigilance until end of turn, and Mistveil Plains can return lost Kor or more importantly, equipment back into your deck, to be tutored by your Mystic later.

The sideboard focuses on gaining advantages based on what color of deck you are running against.

The deck best preforms when you look at it more as a Swiss Army Knife than a White Wheenie aggro deck. Pick your spots, attack when it serves you best and strike hard. Unfortunatly, thanks to the key Kor of the deck, Stoneforge Mystic, I cannot recommend this to budget players as the deck without the expensive sideboard floats around the $160 mark.
