First major playtesting —Feb. 19, 2018

Above is the list that I played tonight.

I moved Abrupt Decay to Sideboard, and 2 Terminates in main, and adjusted the amount of fatal pushes down to 1, and kept lightning bolt at 3. Added 2 Collective Brutalities in main, but i think they will be going to the sideboard soon.

I also aquired a second Dark Confidant, slammed both in mainboard, and dropped a Grim Flayer. To add a final card to the top end of the curve, I First thought about Huntmaster of the Fells  Flip, as well as Olivia Voldaren, but instead played a single copy of Hazoret the Fervent, which I think fits in the deck nicely. No, BBE does not Cascade into him, but he is an excellent card to reach.

I Went 1-3 tonight, winning only in the last match against an 0-3 opponent playing a U/B artifact homebrew with Tezzeret and Ugin and Wormcoil and 16 basics mainboard.

I did play a mirror match in the third round (both of us were 0-2), and his Raging Ravines made the difference.

Although I dropped my Grim Flayer count down to 2, I think I want to bump it back up to a 3 of.

Edits will be made after further testing over the next few days.

Looks like youre close. Its definitely a Grim Flayer build. Im not too keen on whats good and what isnt with flayer but 2 Nihil Spellbombs might not be the best thing. Maybe a drop one for a Metalspinner's Puzzleknot?

22 lands seems loose, although without manlands it may even itself out.

Terminate is a must in Jund.

With JtMS being unbanned youre gonna want Dreadbore somewhere in the 75. Seems like you might have it SB if I had to guess based on your write up.

The typical total between lands and creatures is 37. 24/13 or 23/14 respectively. Ive recently gone up to 23/15 to squeeze a bit more juice out of everything. Its a tight list but BBE offers some added flexibility with these traditional splits.

colton815, He's talking about at the time he bought BBE, there were rumors about it being unbanned in modern. So he bought it while it was cheap, (Like I should have) instead of paying $6-$12 for it.

This is a really great article on how to run Bloodbraid Elf in modern Jund. Using that as a guide, I'd suggest definitely 4 Thoughtseize and 3-4 Kolaghan's Command, or some number of Collective Brutality instead, to make sure your BBE hits are as versatile as possible. If you have a lot of Tron, I think 4 K-Command is definitely right. I also think 4 Lightning Bolt and 2 Fatal Push is probably a better ratio now, between your BBE hits and opposing JTMS. Finally, Abrupt Decay might be a better SB card now, since it's versatile, and perhaps Terminate or Dreadbore are better mainboard slots.

Article also makes a great point about manlands and I'd consider running 1-2 more lands to be able to fit Raging Ravine and/or Treetop Village in there, Hissing Quagmire is also a serviceable land. Maybe cut the Bauble or Spellbombs? You still have 5 card types without them and they're both pretty meh hits on BBE.
