Mono-Red Cavalcade of Calamity

Cavalcade of Calamity is a great card, and small, fast creatures make it even better! Best of all, we can do it on a pretty tight budget!

To capitalize on Cavalcade of Calamity, we use:

• Fervent Champion and other similar creatures come out swinging and trigger cavalcade.
• Bomat Courier is a nice little draw engine and also triggers cavalcade.
• Scorch Spitter may not have haste, but its ability can help trigger Chandra's Spitfire, and deal some extra damage.
• Chandra's Spitfire will trigger cavalcade, and receive a power boost every time a small creature attacks. Combined with flying, this creature can be very hard to deal with for our opponent.
• Anax, Hardened in the Forge allows us to always be on the offensive with our small creatures, as we can worry less about them dying.
• Kari Zev, Skyship Raider will hit cavalcade, but also helps us stay on the offensive if we don't draw into any copies of Cavalcade of Calamity.
• The Flame of Keld helps draw cards and do more damage.
• Light Up the Stage and Cathartic Reunion help draw through your deck for cards you need.
