Control the board during the beginning of the game with Lightning Strike (used to be Magma Spray, but I wanted to be able to take out Mantis Rider) and Circle of Flame. Then get the Hammer of Purphoros on the field and start getting out the nasty creatures.

I went 4-1 (including top four) today at Game Day and won. My sideboard was built to battle my worst match-up: Control. It paid off; there were only eight people and 3 of them were playing control. My loss was against a Sultai Control/Superfriends in the second round, that I played in the first round of the top four and beat. Then I defeated a U/B Control and won, both top four wins in 2.
