I love the idea of Lantern Control but I swore to myself that I'd never pay more than $5 for a single card when I started playing Magic. This is a work in progress to resolve that.
This deck features the standard lantern control suite of artifacts - Lantern of Insight,Codex Shredder,Pyxis of Pandemonium,Ghoulcaller's Bell
It includes some creatures that can help chump block or trade off in early game as well as tutor for your artifacts - Glint-Nest Crane, Trinket Mage
Some sorceries that reveal hands are always nice for Lantern Control - Duress, Harsh Scrutiny
Some basic counters are included to keep you alive before you get your control engine going - Negate, Essence Scatter
To replace Ensnaring Bridge which is decidedly not budget, a suite of walls and attack-preventers is included - Fog Bank, Wall of Frost, Edifice of Authority, plus touch of ultra-budget removal with Murderous Compulsion. These help stop the creatures that get by before your lantern lock is in place.
How do you actually win? Either you're in for a long, grindy milling out, keeping your library larger than your opponent's using Codex Shredders or Traumatize.
If you are playing against a deck that you can control creatures out, you can even win with a slow grinding with the few creatures you have.
Advice appreciated, but keeping in mind the ultra-budget nature of this deck! Has not been playtested much. Looks weak against aggro.
