If I were to copy Throne of the Grim Captain  ^Flip and craft the copy, would it be able to transform to The Grim Captain  ^Flip?

I was looking at Throne of the Grim Captain  ^Flip for a fun standard deck on Arena in the upcoming season (Yes, I know the card is bad) and was wondering if I could tap it to mill myself for 3 and then transform it and get the creature half untapped and ready to attack on the same turn? I saw that the rules for transforming under normal circumstances wouldn't untap the card but in the rules text for Crafting it says "exile this permanent ... return this card transformed under it's owner's control" which to me indicates that it is a new permanent entering the battlefield and it would be untapped with summoning sickness. Is this correct?
