Lifecraft Engine
Artifact — Vehicle
As this enters, choose a creature type.
Vehicle creatures you control are the chosen creature type in addition to their other types.
Each creature you control of the chosen type other than this Vehicle gets +1/+1.
Crew 3 (Tap any number of creatures you control with total power 3 or more: This Vehicle becomes an artifact creature until end of turn.)

Unless I'm wrong, on the blocker side, all six Lifecraft Engines (including clones) are able to block Ghost of Ramirez DePietro (ignoring the Sonorous Howlbonder + Chitinous Cloak number requirement), and they can be split 3/3 across the Raging River, so Ghost gets blocked no matter which side they choose. Is there something I'm not seeing?

rtdfjyghc Some fun thoughts here. First off, I overlooked that Dormant Sliver prevents our dude from attacking, so Guard Duty for everyone! Second, creature type restriction vs. numbers restriction. Hmm. The creature type already has a very narrow window, so maybe needing 12 creatures on hand might in fact be the way to go. Will have to tinker with that one, since the defense relies on having Clone effects anyway, and the simple solution would be to just have even more Clones. For Ghost of Ramirez DePietro, the window would be power exactly equal to 3 with Wrecking Ball Arm and Hedgewitch's Mask, and toughness =< 2. That window can be hit with Kudo, King Among Bears + Banners Raised or something. So that would be -1 Lifecraft Engine, and switch Harmonious Archon for those two cards. So no net change in number of cards needed to defend, but small increase in complexity of defense. Using that same logic for Hexmark Destroyer as the attacker, it would be about the same complexity, or maybe a little less, but a huge jump in the number of cards needed to defend. Will have to meditate and tinker.
Keep the thoughts coming!

rtdfjyghc Nice stuff in here. Pulling it card by card:
Agility Bobblehead, Awesome Presence, Hungry Lynx, Vectis Gloves and Raging River are going in. Plot Armor's going in the Un- pile. Spectra Ward's redundant with Moonlace + Executioner's Hood, and I'm trying to keep zero redundancy for this experiment. If this became a full deck, redundancy would be a lot more important.
For alternate creatures, I chose Deathcult Rogue because there are fewer than 600 creatures without changeling that can block it right now, so it's a really heavy negative restriction. Any of your suggestions could also fit into the attacker slot, but I'm too lazy to come up with a specific blocking protocol for each of them, to see if they really are less blockable than the Rogue as a baseline and as a final result. That would be a good project for a slow weekend, and all of them are definitely worth noting as potential alternates.
I guess the key question is, how many creatures am I willing to let the blocking player have? As it stands now, if Hexmark Destroyer replaced the Rogue, the only change to the blockers would be how many Lifecraft Engines would need to be on hand. The other options have more distinct blocking scenarios, which would take some digging.
