Cayth, Famed Mechanist - another trifecta for catergories artifact creatures and +1/+1 counters

Kami of Whispered Hopes or/and Accomplished Alchemist — they are mana dorks for the counters and lifegain catergory kami has way more advantage since it has a hardening scales effect

Comparing to Bramble Sovereign, the offspring ability feels balanced.

I'd almost push the life gain ability to triggering on any creature entering, token or nontoken.

The best comparisons for the populate ability are Vitu-Ghazi Guildmage and Cayth, Famed Mechanist. Going off those two, with a side of Rhys the Redeemed, it's probably safe to reduce the cost. Maybe {2}, {T}, Tap another creature.

Xavier Sal, Infested Captain's abilities can be used only as sorceries, which bothers me, but I supposed that he has that restriction to prevent him from being too power, but Cayth, Famed Mechanist does not have that restriction upon her ability, so I wonder why that is; is it because her ability requires mana to activate? What does everyone else say about this matter? Why does Cayth not have the same restriction that Xavier Sal has?

Coward_Token, I fully agree with that, and, on that subject, I am very glad that Warren Soultrader has no restrictions, but I do fear that it could easily be overpowered.

Also, why is it that Xavier Sal, Infested Captain has restrictions on his abilities, but Cayth, Famed Mechanist does not? What makes them so different from each other?
