Archghoul of Thraben

Creature — Zombie Cleric

Whenever this or another Zombie you control dies (is put into the graveyard from the battlefield), look at the top card of your library. You may put it into your graveyard, or if it's a Zombie card, you may reveal it and put it into your hand instead.

Personally, if I were going for redundancy in this deck, I'd have 3 copies of a lesser cost card, like Eaten Alive and Poppet Stitcher  Flip and 2 copies of a greater cost card, like Hero's Downfall and Geralf, Visionary Stitcher.

I don't think you have enough instants with a mana value of 2 or less to justify Discover the Impossible in your deck. May I suggest replacing them with either Fading Hope or Joint Exploration? Yes, you won't have any green to pay the kicker cost for Joint Exploration, but your opponents don't have to know that. >:D

May I suggest replacing Revenge of the Drowned with two more copies of either Crawl from the Cellar (for easier access to Poppet and Geralf) or No Way Out (for extra controlling aspects for the deck)? If these do not appeal to you then my next suggestion would be to replace Revenge of the Drowned with more zombie cards to feed into Archghoul of Thraben. May I suggest either Bladestitched Skaab or 2 more copies of Tainted Adversary? If you go with Bladestitched Skaab, I'd recommend replacing one copy of Champion of the Perished with it.

I hope all this helps. Thank you for reading me out. Happy Hunting!

I would suggest Phyrexian Altar, which is admittedly pretty expensive but allows you to easily ramp up by sacing zombie tokens, but this also combos with Gravecrawler to give you infinite ETB and LTB triggers, which in turn goes well with the like of Noxious Ghoul, Butcher of Malakir, Champion of the Perished, Archghoul of Thraben, etc...

dingaling15 Those are great cards for the deck. I originally ran Hero's Downfall in the deck, and it was really only removed when I streamlined it. So, in a more budget-friendly build, it works great. For Archghoul of Thraben, I'm actually going to be adding it to the deck soon. It's a great card, in my opinion, and definitly not expensive.

Crimson Vow gave us a lot of stuff to work with. Let's have a look. A lot of the zombies of Crimson Vow come up with "Exploit". This Keyword allows us to sacrifice a creature (even it's own) to gain value somehow. I will not evaluate each possible card but cards which will become a part of the deck or where close to be impleneted.

Cemetery Desecrator - a 4/4 for 6 with that less (?) impact seems not that special, even with menace

Necroduality - a 4 cmc creature doubler? Count me in! Straight upgrade to Reflections of Littjara

Headless Rider - 3/1 for 3 seems a bit vulnerable, but i guess i'll give it a try to gain more value on death triggers

Patchwork Crawler - exile from OUR graveyard? What a pity, this card could have been so good

Geralf, Visionary Stitcher - The anthem effect is nice... i like Gerald, but it seems he is always a bit behind his sister Gisa. But he could so some work in a simic seamonster deck (or similar)

Overcharged Amalgam - 3/3 Flash Flying with the ability to counter everything? I'm hyped!

Catapult Fodder  Flip - Love the art and the story of the card. very funny. But i don't think this one could do anything good for us.

Archghoul of Thraben - This card can be extremly powerful with Wilhelt. I will definately test him. Incidential card advantage is always welcome!

Diregraf Scavenger - a good card for common, excellent blocker. but at least one cmc too high

As always, i'm curious aboutyour thoughts
