Is Obosh, the Preypiercer worth it/viable in Drop focused Zoo Decks?

Been looking through my old decks and found the core to my zoo deck and was looking to see how I could make it more Up-to-Date now that things like Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer and Collector Ouphe exist now.

Obosh, the Preypiercer caught my attention for seemingly HUGE payoff but im wondering if it is actually castable in Zoo... I dont have a whole lot of expirience with running or even interacting with companions... but paying to get it into hand then paying the nesessary doenst seem reachable. I know things like Utopia Sprawl and Arbor Elf can help but I have concerns that it would hurt more than help the hyper=agressive strategy.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this matter?

As it stands with 18 lands you’re never realistically casting Obosh. The changes required to make Obosh castable push the deck in an entirely different direction - so much so that it’d be more practical to build an Obosh deck from-scratch rather than try force him into this deck

@wallisface thats how feel too I think...just hoping/wondering if there was a "easy" or simple adjustment that could be done... I saw a flashy new toy/option and was really really tempted imagining paying for 6 damage Lightning Bolt and for a Wild Nacatl on steroids... it just seemed really cool like i was gonna break zoo or something lol.

Honestly, with much less mana cost you could cast some other strong spell like Charge or Giant Growth, or even Might of Old Krosa and Scale Up.

Along the lines of what TheOfficialCreator is thinking, you could try Goblin Bushwhacker or Reckless Bushwhacker

Aside from Yorion, the Companions are less of a payoff that you build your deck around, and more an extra card you get for "free." So I wouldn't look at Obosh as a "I need this in every game" payoff and more as "If I use a 1 and 3 CMC cards my deck is good and I get this card for free."

If you're going the one drop bushwhacker route, some of the recommendations I may add:

-Play more fetches. This is so you can power Kird Ape, Loam Lion, and Wild Nacatl more consistently and effortlessly.

-When you are already playing fetches, Narnam Renegade is a better version of Ape and Lion.

-Atarka's Command can provide burst of unexpected damage in a single turn since you are planning on going wide with one drops.
