Rogue Tribal, possible without a lord?

This deck has two big problems besides being bad and needing more mono black rogues to be printed, those are:

  • Most of the deck is in the 2 cmc slot. Gets wrecked by Engineered Explosives/Ratchet Bomb.

  • Most of those 2 cmc rogues are x/1 toughness, others are not very aggressive for their cost. Games feel like vanilla aggro like Grizzly Bears, only worse.

Seeking Criticism and other Feedback, Just remember, this is a brew not a competitive deck.. and a terrible brew so far.

  1. Focus on sidestepping. Rogues with any form of quality evasion are the best.
  2. You need some reach. Cheap reach is easily available in the form of Morsel Theft, which is the best card in Rogue tribal.
  3. To fix x/1 problem, simply add Bad Moon. There is a surprisingly low number of black creatures in modern.
  4. Earwig Squad is the best rogue creature. A single bannaret on the field and it is already a 5/3 for 2 mana. Additionally, it gives you a free win vs combo decks.
  5. You want hand disription and a lot of it to avoid mass removal. I recommend a full playset of 3-4 Tseize and 3-4 inquisition.

first off, i would argue that cards like Stinkdrinker Bandit and Oona's Blackguard are rogue lords and have the adaptive lords Adaptive Automaton and Metallic Mimic

next on to suggestions, while its not a rogue per say, Corrosive Mentor could add an extra punch to your non-evasive deck, making opponents wary of blocking with larger creatures.

Deathcult Rogue, Gonti, Lord of Luxury, Inkfathom Infiltrator, Marsh Flitter(comboes especially well with oona's black guard) and Zulaport Cutthroat all have their uses and can be powerful in the right variant of mono-black rogues. (although i think you get the most power from u/b artifact rogues)

Merrow Bonegnawer seems like especially good sb tech against dredge/delirium/graveyard type decks.

Izu_Korasu - Boza Thanx for the feedback, Ive added most of those cards to my maybe board and some to the main, such as Morsel Theft. I also upped the earwig squad. I already have lots for combo mainboard.
