is all explained in the topic, basicly i need to know if i get it to the competitve level, if it already is or if i need to do some changes, at the moment i own only half of the deck so b4 spending money (it's funny deck tho) i want to be sure it can get to some competitve scenario too

bant control modern

This looks more like a midrange build :)

I love Bant, have tried several control builds in the past but I'm too unlucky for playing 3 colored decks, so I switched back to UW. The thing is you need to justify the green splash.

I'd say it's decent for SB options and Mainboarding Thragtusks (2 is the number I found was the best with 3 Snapcaster Mages and 3 Restoration Angels to abuse the ETB triggers) and maybe Voice of Resurgence. I also used to run a 1-of Voidslime but it just got outclassed by Disallow so... no reason to have it anymore. Bant Charm is versatile but often stays in your hand.

All in all, I'd say you don't have an actual reason to run green in the more common UW build, which is why we don't see Bant Control builds...

well i prefered to run the G too (its almost a splash, i know) for the Thragtusk and the Qasali Pridemage wich can put out some great beater wile giving some utily, also the Noble Hierarch.i think the green can get to fix out some of the weakness of the UW control deck such as BloodMoon deck or Liliana of the Veil abuse by both the sigarda or the Loxodon Smiter. don't get me wrong, the main part of the deck, also the control one, is UW, i know, the green is just there to fix some issue it might have and also getting some early drop/fixing problem/getting some token/removal. i think the UW control got the apoteosis of the control issue in the actual meta due to the fast deck he face off and how slow it is to lock down the opponent while still be solid as a control itself he fade away so easily by the actual meta so i splashed the green more as a reinforcement (giving a bit of midragind target too).

i complitely forgot about Disallow, i'll realy condsider that so, thx.i'll also consider the -1 noble +1 thragtusk Exchange.sideboard maybe i will -1 bant charm +1 disallow but i had to think about it a bit

Well honestly I think you should either go for a real control build (Sphinx's Revelation, Supreme Verdict, Snapcaster Mage, Cryptic Command, etc.) OR a real creature-based list (with Loxodon Smiter, Noble Hierarch, Collected Company, etc.).

A mix of both will lead you to disrupt both your control and your creature aspects. Hierarch and Verdict aren't friends. To me, you should choose between what you prefer : control the board and use big finishers when your opponent is out of resources OR aggro them and try to quickly lay down as many dudes as you can and turn'em sideways.

Now that's just my input, it's your deck and your money so it's all up to you in the end ;)

While I agree with the above poster, there is a third option - tempo them out - play a bunch of creatures with ETB effects and flicker them.

Bant is the perfect option for this, I have personally built a successful UW version (Azorious MORPHine trip).

Bant Control is in a tricky spot due to the fact that, as other posters have mentioned, you are engaging in two opposing strategies, i.e., playing creatures and holding up counters.

I'm not sure if this helps, but I've been working on a Bant Control list that utilizes Tarmogoyf as a control creature (read the write-up and see how this is done). I've had success with it so far. Here is the list, which I affectionately call Tarmojutai Control.

While it is certainly open to comments like "if you are going to play X colors or Y cards, why not play ::insert existing archetype:: because it's "better." While not incorrect, the deck can grind and I like the idea of stretching existing ideas and just playing cards I like.

I have a pretty competitive modern bant land-go control deck that's really fun to play, check it out if you want to get ideas.

@Boza yeah but i already have One of those deck, i'm trying something new if i get to. I avere btw at tempo the opponent out, wich is what the deck is focussed more about if playing bant tho.

@btreuther Grest analysis of the archetype, i also see whatsapp your decidere is leading to anche that ojutai realy Shine there i hate Tarmo btw (facesse too much June in the early time of my modern) so i'll pass the tarmo.

@frusciante7 i like the idea of a deck that che become both Just by siding in and out. Noble is a sacrificial goat to wrat on turn 3 and block some race. I'll take the advice btw, maybe i'll search sole undestructible creature
