This budget deck is surprisingly competitive for its price. It is also very fun in casual multiplayer games due to there being multiple graveyards to grow the namesake card, Consuming Aberration.
Almost all creatures and spells attempt to put cards in the opponent's graveyard or capitalize on the current number.
The beginning of the game is spent getting out Fog Banks and milling the opponent (Breaking and Entering, Mind Funeral).
There is a also good amount of creature removal (Go for the Throat, Grisly Spectacle) in the main deck to stay alive at the beginning of the game.
The ultimate win condition is to get a super powerful Consuming Aberration and deal damage equal to its power with either Rite of Consumption or Rogue's Passage. Only two copies of Rite of Consumption are played, because it can be transmuted for with Muddle the Mixture and played the turn after playing Consuming Aberration.
The deck runs Dispel and Muddle the Mixture to counter instant-speed removal or opponent-controlled counters to ensure this damage goes through.
Alternatively, strong cards like Jace's Phantasm and Wight of Precinct Six can secure a win.
Lastly, the deck splashes red for a late game recursion with Breaking and Entering, although this is rarely necessary. An interesting interaction is to mill yourself in hopes of getting a hasty Consuming Aberration as a last-ditch surprise win :D
