Tibalt seeks redemption

Casual*

firestorms90

In order to become more a more useful planeswalker (and learn from the painful effects of third degree burns), Tibalt seeks insight from the OG pyromancer Jaya Ballard and her hot headed protege, Chandra Nalaar. Ever since I first laid eyes on Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded (and everytime I've read about how "bad" he is), I've wanted to find a deck in which he shines. I've had him paired with Chandra Ablaze once before in a deck with Pyromancer Ascension, and while that wasn't the shell to support him the pairing has stuck with me. When I first saw Jaya Ballard, my mind immediately went to this deck idea, and the new mechanic jump-start seems like the missing piece that finally has me putting a preliminary list together. The idea in my head is a silly discard deck hoping to benefit from madness, flashback, etc while filling the graveyard with juicy spells for planeswalker ultimates. Already I can foresee problems getting early mana due to discarding lands; I figure the key to Tibalt is to use him later (after getting a few lands in play and perhaps a creature or two). Also, since the goal is mostly to tick up walkers in order to use their ultimate and cast all the things for a massive win, idk how to deal with opponents in the meantime, to get these planeswalkers to their finals. Creatures and card choices are largely based on flavor (devils, flavor text quotes), with exception given to the cards which are more in for mechanical functionality than for flavor. As may be apparent, the goal is NOT to end up with a super competitive deck, but rather to build within the confines of theme and flavor a fun, casual deck that could hold its own in a multiplayer chaos setting.
