Seismic Assault can't be played if you have only access to 2 mountains. Lightning Storm can. Same effect, but better mana cost.

You could make a transformative sideboard that alters the manabase to accommodate Zombie Infestation. That way you at least have something you can do against Leyline of Sanctity.

Sideboard (15)

2x Zombie Infestation

4x Contested War Zone

8x Swamp

eh, it is certainly better than anything I could think of. I'll add it.

only card i can think of that might do anything for you is Mirrorpool, but i feel like it's one of those overkill things that doesn't actually advance your strategy realistically , it just kind of looks cool on the one game you use it XD

I really like this silly little combo deck. XD +1

@lithium142

Mirrorpool will not work as intended. Copies only copy printed text, not counters on Lightning Storm.

What does Contested War Zone do?

August 24, 2016 noon

lonker says... #10

chessmaster156 they are for the Zombie Infestation sideboard tech so your zombies will kill faster.

I like it! Here's my take on the deck:

http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/seismic-treasure-hunt-2/

Mine is legacy/casual but very fun to play.

Here are some modern legal cards you might consider:

Spinerock Knoll I've found this to be very useful in a number of situations with this deck.Halimar Depths might help a little with consistency.Maybe think about adding a man-land or 2.

Sorry! Anything that enters tapped is bad for the deck. Remember that you want to try to get the combo off on turn five or six.

played deck was good fun

encountered surgical extraction , and found if you dont get enough lands and lightning storm before treasure find is removed it means trouble

Have you thought of putting in Trade Routes? I know it seems strange having something that isn't part of the combo, but I would keep a hand with only a Trade Routes and six lands.

Trade Routes is optimal for this deck. If you get one of those from a Treasure Hunt, you would die instantly. The idea is interesting, but only being to draw as many cards as you have lands in your hand is not likely to dig for your answers.

This is a fantastic deck, I can't even imagine how fun it must be to win via this strategy.

I love your deck and want to build it, but make it not as budget and use dual lands and such. Also probably Desolate Lighthouse as a 2 of in case you fail at your mulligan parade. Do you mind if I post a list and give you credit?

Library of Alexandria, Glacial Chasm, Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth (to potentially allow glacial chasm to tap for mana).

these would make the deck hella expensive, but way stronger if you wanted to do this outside of modern

Desolate Lighthouse is something I wouldn't really want in this deck. You need to get your colored mana as fast as possible for the combo. That draw a card effect doesn't make up for the colorless mana unlike Nephalia Academy and Boseiju, Who Shelters All or even Contested War Zone for the zombie sideboard tech.

Treasure Storm, Jank Combo That's my version. I'm curious what you think since your the tappedout pioneer on this one. I like the lighthouse as a last chance resort and if you have access to all the dual lands in the world your not as concerned about missing the colored mana.

lonker says... #23

Desolate Lighthouse is good, but only if you have the dual lands and etc. I wouldn't really spend my money on the pains/fetchs for a "jank" deck. I don't expect to win a tourney or even an fnm with this deck, I just use it for some fun jank moments. So yeah, my deck isn't the most optimal deck for this type of deck, but it's fun.

I've taken a look at your deck and it looks like it's the most optimal build for this type of deck. I also love how it runs no basic lands so the sideboard isn't too complicated.

Thanks buddy, that's kind of why I said if you happen to be the collector that has all these cards than this is how you build it, but if you are planning on putting this together please don't spend money on dual lands for this deck lol.
