I have been trying out card:Druid's Deliverance and it seems like a decent sideboard card against other aggroselesnya decks... just let them attack and then hit them back with more :)

Let's see... first hand of card:Avacyn's Pilgrim, Call of the Conclave , Silverblade Paladin , Temple Garden , Rancor , Forest , Sunpetal Grove ...

1: Temple Garden, and cast Pilgrim

2: Sunpetal Grove, call Centaur, Rancor it

3: Draw Revenge of the Hunted , put it on the Centaur, lay Forest, cast Paladin and bond, swing with Centaur for 22 trample damage

Turn 3 kill under ideal conditions!

my deck does equal damage.hi fivesturn1: abundant growth (forest or temple garden)

turn 2: fencing ace (any untapped)

turn 3: rancor + 2x ethereal armour (source of white)

11/9 doublestrike trample

Very impressive... my friend Ixthinon also thought of another way for my deck, slightly edging it out:

T1: Temple Garden and Pilgrim

T2: Sunpetal Grove, Paladin, soulbond to Pilgrim

T3: Draw Revenge of the Hunted , lay it on the Paladin, Forest, Rancor, Rancor

Paladin attacks as a 12/8 trampling double-striker!!

nice haha, i could run revenge of the hunted but i find my deck more reliable without it

Just because it's a competition, I want to update my entry. :)

T1: Temple Garden , Arbor Elf

T2: Sunpetal Grove , Silverblade Paladin (bonded with Elf)

T3: Draw and cast Revenge of the Hunted , Forest, Rancor , Rancor , Rancor , all on the Paladin, who becomes 14/8.

Turn three swing for 28 Trampling!

Nice deck btw :-). +1

I can see how fast you can get away with damaging players, if only I had some Silverblade Paladin s.

I do have a question about the Selesnya Keyrune + Rancor and what happens to when it returns to being an artifact? Very interested in the keyrune because Golgari Charm has become a slight annoyance for my mana dorks.

use that extra mana for an ethereal armour and its 21/19 doublestrike trample lure.

Sweeeet!! That is some major turn three damage, I love how the Armors buff each other!

alucardbelmont, I belive the Rancor would return to your hand at the end of the turn after being put on a Keyrune. I have also considered Keyrunes to avoid dork-kills, but my playtests were all a couple of turns slower than I like. :( Turn 3 you play a Keyrune, instead of swinging for 20 trample damage. LOL But hey, if your opponent is spending cards, mana, and turns early on to kill your mana dorks, then you have a bit more time to get things together.

Have you considered Gavony Township over Grove of the Guardian ? What about Loxodon Smiter or Centaur Healer in there over Strangleroot Geist ?

November 7, 2012 12:58 a.m.

Azure124 says... #17

geist is better as it has haste which can be very devastating when paired with a Silverblade Paladin and you can swing in and not worry with it

I originally had Gavonys in there, two of them. They always kind of underwhelmed me, like, I could put a counter on everything, or I could lay down a Wolfir Silverheart or a Thragtusk . Also, the colourlessness of them screwed me a couple of times. I switched to one Grove, and I've been pretty happy with it, I guess. It's rare that I get the Elemental, but it happens.

I am experimenting right now with replacing two Call of the Conclave s with two Loxodon Smiter s, but I could handle taking out two Geists instead.

Strangleroot Geist is never bad, but Call of the Conclave is bigger, and it survives Pillar of Flame s that exile my Geists.
