This deck isn't quite a scorpion themed deck as much as it is another -1/-1 counter deck. However, the new card The Scorpion God does add some much needed power to it.

Early Game

With this deck, you should be focused on quickly getting cards into your hand such as The Scorpion God , Faith of the Devoted, and Nest of Scarabs. Do this by getting out your Ruthless Snipers and Mad Prophet s, allowing you to quickly move through your deck while simultaneously allowing the snipers to tick down your opponent's creatures, preventing any serious combat damage early game. This can also be done with Splendid Agony . Also, getting out a quick Pacification Array will also be useful in slowing your opponents and can put a swift end to those agrivating combinations, such as Isochron SceptorCounterspell.

How to use The Scorpion God

The Scorpion God is more of a trigger than anything else. Its ability will allow you to kill of opponents creatures, fill your hand, and discard as many cards as possible, triggering more abilities of your creatures and enchantments. However, combining him with a well timed Demon of Dark Schemes can be devastating.
