I'm no expert, I only got into magic a few months ago but it seems to me that running 7 spells that all cost 2 life to play might be to much. maybe replace some of the vault skirge or porcelain legionnaire with phantasmal dragons?

Dude I love it. The vault skirge pays for itself real fast when you drop the 2 life on it. This deck is teh awesome.

Looks fun. Perhaps you could put in some other draw cards like Think Twice ? Just to try and keep your hand full. +1

I love budget decks, I run a rareless Burning Vengeance deck right now. I would suggest a few things:

Dissipate 4xSideboard Flashfreeze 4xSideboard Ghost Quarter x3Some big guy that hits the battlefield strong like Skaab Goliath Possibly Equipment? Infiltration Lens

I'm not sure what your trying todo besides simply control. If thats what it is, then you need some big threats and a lot of counterspells.

I really love your deck, my fav color is blue!

I think you shuold add one or two Frost Titan and maybe two or three Skaab Ruinator , cuz at the middle game you will need big creatures =P... I guess

Turn to Frog is great IMO. Turns those threats into 1/1 that's easier to take care of.

+1, love the deck. Out of curiosity, do you usually get to play Stitched Drake ? Because there's nothing to put stuff in your graveyard.

I like the idea, can you help me with my deck deck:pest-go-1 its not the same but a similar idea. Some creatures with control.

You need Conundrum Sphinx . With your Ponder and Delver of Secrets  Flip  FlipMTG Card: Insectile Aberration you will often know your top card. Not to mention it is a 4/4 for 4, which beats a 3/4 for 4 with an additional cost that might prevent you from playing it.

+1 please rate my deck:

Its a good start but It wont beat my 300+ dollar deck 0.0'

Keep it up though this looks like a solid start.

What about Grand Architect ? He pumps up your other blue creatures, and he can ramp out the Vault Skirge and Porcelain Legionnaire more quickly.

coleman984 says... #17

No probably not, it was designed to lay low in a multi-player game, then surprise kill someone. When they don't know the win con. Which is why I haven't linked this deck to my IRL friend yet. I want it to be a surprise when the kill con goes off.

Either way is my deck good enough to get a +1 from you =P

BTW I liked your infinite damage deck too. =P

quep says... #20

everyone keep sugesting rares and uncommons as if they didnt read the part where you mention its a pauper deck (for those who dont know, pauper is ALL COMMONS)

January 16, 2012 9:47 p.m.

MattMcGowan says... #21

This is really, really bad

If you want to build Pauper, look up some successful decks for ideas. Don't just put a load of random bounce cards in a deck and act passive aggressive towards people who spend money on their decks because they want to and you apparently can't or won't

I thought the yearly sets rotated out every other year. Meaning M12 and M11 are in and M10 is out. M13 and M12. No? How does it work then?

Quantillus says... #24

You could get a lot more out of this if there was a little bit of a bomb in it. Only suggestion would be to check out Spire Serpent and maybe throw in a little more artifact just to make sure you get the metalcraft when this drops. Maybe Put in a couple of cheeky Neurok Invisimancer .

Windraider says... #25

Thanks for all the comments guys! Do remember, this deck is built in the Standard Pauper format, meaning M12, Scars block, and Innistrad block Commons are all I can use.

@dquinn: Stitched Drake is no problem to get out. Between opponent's removal and combat, there's usually something in the graveyard that can be exiled.
